Amazing Experience!
I sent my two kids (9 and 13) to Alton Jones for the first time last summer, they absolutely loved it. My 9 year old did Earth Camp, he loved tree-climbing and kayaking the most! My 13 year old did Teen X Adventure and also loved climbing (she did rock climbing!) and the water park.
I was concerned about the cabins, since most camps have a busy basic set up, but these were great, I wish I had cabins like this when I was a kid!

Kid's Summer Art Camp at SCGA: July 25 - July 29 - Sumter, SC
Mon, July 25, 2016 - Fri, July 29, 2016 Summer Art Camp at the SCGA Morning Classes: 9:00am - 12:00pm: Bugs ‘n’ Blooms (Ages 4-7) Shrink down to explore the world of creepy crawlers and fabulous flowers! Students will be introduced to the beauty and fun of insects and will explore their environments in a class where art meets science. Young entomologists will create a variety of 2D and 3D forms using materials from nature and an army of art supplies using paint, collage, clay, printmaking, mixed media, and more. Come bug out with us! Storytellers (Ages 4-7) Storytelling helps students improve their language skills, instills a love of reading and stirs imaginations. In this first-time class, talented professor of visual art Jennifer Pepper will guide students through painting, drawing and mixed media activities based on a variety of classic and contemporary children’s stories. Recycle-O-Rama (Ages 8-12) Students will be guided through using everyday recycled materials to think creatively, outside the box, and exercise their imaginations using unusual and recycled everyday objects like scrap wood, water bottles, used cardboard and plastic, styrofoam, aluminum foil, string, rope, toilet paper & paper towel rolls and more to create one-of-a-kind “Outsider Art” projects. 2016 Baroody Kayak Touring and Fishing Camp - Alexandria
Join Virginia Outside for an introduction to kayaking and kayak fishing. Our staff will instruct you on safety, paddling, and general maneuvering of a sit-on-top kayak. As you learn throughout the week at various locations, we will incorporate fishing, sightseeing and touring while paddling on all types of water. From local lakes and rivers like Bull Run, Fountainhead, and tidal creeks of the Potomac. We will progress to days on lazy rivers that include the Shenandoah, Rappahannock, and Rapidan Rivers. A kayak is a great way to get close to nature and we expect to see bald eagles, ospreys, herons, deer and beaver. When we are fishing our catch will include large and smallmouth bass, catfish, sunfish, crappie, and maybe even the infamous snakehead. Kayaks, paddles, life vests, and fishing gear are provided by Virginia Outside. 804-272-6362
