PTHC Kid's Camp-Volunteers Urgently Needed! - Philadelphia, PA
On June 4th, 5th, and 6th, the Philadelphia Convention Center will be host to the annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference, the country's largest gathering of transgendered individuals, families, allies, and caregivers. Part of the festivities is the Kid's Camp, where we endeavor to provide safe, affirming, and awesomely fun activities to the children attending the camp. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we are low on volunteers on Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. If you are available any portion of the day Friday from noon to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can supply a valid child abuse clearance (within the last 2 years), please message me. I volunteered at the Kid's Camp of PTHC last year, and it was a truly amazing experience! I hope you'll consider joining us! Please also consider sharing this message!

Focus and fun is the premise behind our children's day camp run by qualified staff from Enshin Karate and Radiant Beginnings Yoga. Our martial arts class, is taught by 4 time world champion Mike Ninomiya and his lovely wife Diana Ninomiya. Both of whom have been certified to teach in Denver Public Schools in the Radiant Beginnings enrichment program. We have a wide variety of activities involved besides martial arts and yoga; West African drumming and chess workshops are two other focuses mixed into this camp designed to bring fun, focus and stress management in the mind body realm. You’ll play lots of games: including target sports, board games, and adventurous activities. You’ll explore the beauty of the mountains during the daily nature lessons and get “creative” making crafts and learning new skills. Each day will have reading & journal times and open times to play with friends, make crafts, join the Game Room Tournament or visit the Old Mill Cafe. Held on Lake Quinsigamond, this program offers instruction for high school athletes of all levels—from advanced skill development targeted toward competitive rowing to introduction of the basics. Whether you are already a competitive rower or a novice hoping to take your first strokes, you will receive first-class instruction appropriate to your individual development within a positive and enjoyable environment. Nebraska Summer Dance Camp 2016 - Halsey 4H Camp
The Nebraska Summer Dance Camp invites you to be part of our 29th year! Join us for seven exciting days of intensive dance – plus outdoor recreation at the Nebraska National Forest – with top Midwest teachers plus our featured guest instructors, Ruth Hoagboon, Dana DeFilippis and Nichol Mason Lazenby! This fast-paced program will provide a rewarding challenge for dancers at moderate to advanced levels. Enrollment is limited to 70 dancers. Students will be grouped by ability to assure individual attention. Minimum requirements: age 10 and two years of ballet. Students will take three to four classes daily. All students will have one classical ballet class each day, plus 2–3 other classes providing a balanced program for each level. The State 4-H camp is located on the edge of the nations largest man planted forest, near Halsey, NE. Its location combines the best of a forest setting with the great Nebraska Sandhills. Theres a lot more to Dance Camp than just dance! Enjoy walking the forest trails, challenge yourself on the TRUST course and zip line, get creative making your own tie-dye shirts.
