Its a week of water-filled fun! Plan to get wet (and muddy) as we explore our bit of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Well compare fresh and saltwater habitats through hands-on experiences like sampling for water-dwelling animals and performing simple water tests. Field trips will take us to see where our water comes from, how water is treated after we use it, and on a visit to the Chesapeake Bay. Well also spend time boating and fishing as we learn all about water, the plants and animals that live there, and how to better care for our watershed. Parents the Youth have chosen Camp #2 which is May 30th - June 3rd. I know it seems far away but we MUST have an idea on a head count so we can go ahead and get our week reserved. It will more than likely be 100% full within a week so we would choose week #3 which is June 6th-June 10th. THE KIDS are choosing Camp #2 because of the speaker we had last year will be at Camp #2. Please chat with your YOUTH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and let me know by this Wedneday if at all possible. I would like to send in the registration fee for each kid this week to reserve our spots. The youth have voted for their year-end field trip to be at Parrie Haynes Ranch for some camping and trail riding! If you are a current ECEA youth member, your campsite and day fees are paid for by youth club money raised at our youth fundraiser show. Please let me know if you are planning to attend, if you need RV hookups, how many horses you are bringing and how many people you are bringing so that I can make reservations next week. We will have orgainized group dinners and group breakfast. Bring your own drinks, lunches and snacks. It's going to be a blast!
