Kid's Culinary Day Camp at LeTourneau is a wonderful opportunity for kids ages five to thirteen to experience the culinary arts in an exciting and safe Christian environment. Kids Culinary Day Camp includes all of the following exciting aspects of the culinary arts: an introduction to the culinary arts, food safety, cooking, food tastings, crafts and games. Camp Yakety Yak (CYY) is a 501c3 organization that was created in 2010 to help children with special needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability) grow socially and emotionally by improving their communication skills. Our educational mission is twofold: 1) provide instruction in social & emotional skills to children (ages 6-11) with special needs & their siblings to support friendship development in a day camp setting and 2) provide an opportunity for future professionals in educational and therapeutic fields to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in working with children with special needs. Our 2016 High School Performing Camp is our premium program, consisting of high performing U18 athletes eager to train with some of the best in the country and develop in a competitive environment. Athletes will either be invited or accepted after application to attend this camp. Players will advance with USA Rugby Academy; a one-of-a-kind rugby experience which allows athletes to grow as players and offers additional opportunities for exposure and experience. Players will be pushed to develop their situational recognition around different attacks, defenses, and tactics. Our Performing Resident Camps are the top place to be selected for ATAVUS All-Star teams for both 7s and 15s competition opportunities. The camp will end with matches between teams hand selected by the camp coaches to not only allow athletes to implement what they have just learned into live play but to further throw their hand up for additional selections.
