LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Camp Greenwell - Week 9 - The Greenwell Foundation
Ages 6-12 by June 20, 2016 [ages 6 (who have completed kindergarten) –12 by first day of camp session]. Camp Greenwell is everything nature and adventure with opportunities to kayak, hike, craft, fish, do archery, play and discover. Mid-week, campers will take a wagon ride over to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program. Daily free time allows the campers to let their imagination and interests drive their play while in the outdoors. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week there is a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday for a take-home memory of the week at camp. Camp Greenwell is offered all eight weeks of our summer camp program. Both AM and PM Extended care and Drop-In Extended Care is available. Firefighter Youth Camp - Limerick, PA
Limerick Fire Company's Third Annual YOUTH FIREFIGHTER CAMP June 20-24, 2016; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 6-13 years of age Registration Fee: $35; deadline to register: May 30, 2016 Welcome to Limerick Fire Company’s Youth Firefighter Camp. Due to the success of our camp, the deadline to register cannot be extended and attendance is limited to 60 campers. All registered cadets will receive one LFC Fireman’s tee shirt and LFC baseball cap to wear as their ‘daily uniform’. Hat and designated ‘uniform shirt’ must be worn every day because it identifies which group the cadet is assigned to for the week. If you are interested in purchasing extra camp shirts, they must be ordered at the time of registration-$10 per shirt. Why try this Camp? PTHC Kid's Camp-Volunteers Urgently Needed! - Philadelphia, PA
On June 4th, 5th, and 6th, the Philadelphia Convention Center will be host to the annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference, the country's largest gathering of transgendered individuals, families, allies, and caregivers. Part of the festivities is the Kid's Camp, where we endeavor to provide safe, affirming, and awesomely fun activities to the children attending the camp. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we are low on volunteers on Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. If you are available any portion of the day Friday from noon to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can supply a valid child abuse clearance (within the last 2 years), please message me. Snow Camp - Stevens Pass, WA
Join us for Spring Break this year. Last year this trip cancelled do to no snow, we have no excuse this year not to get out and explore in the snow!!!! We will stay at a cabin near Stevens Pass, WA. Our morning program lasts from 9am to 12pm, and includes programs for Jellyfish (ages 4-5), Rockfish (ages 6-8) and Blue Crabs (ages 9-12). The morning session typically consists of three 45-60 minute activities that will be exciting and engaging for your children. During each of these time slots we endeavor to provide options for your child, enabling them to do what they like most and empowering them to have the most fun with their day. Activities throughout the day are structured around three main themes including: OUTDOORS (e.g., nature hikes, sailing, water sports, swim skills, kayaking, survival skills), ARTS (e.g., crafts, indian art, tie dyes) and GAMES (e.g., tennis, basketball, dodgeball, beach challenges). With the Mohonk Preserve and Mohonk Mountain House land as the arenas for exploration, Mountainside Adventures allows campers to have fun while hiking to new and exciting destinations each day. Campers will focus on developing their problem-solving skills through exciting team challenges and spend their days creating their own adventures along the trail. Days will be active with quiet time at the end of each day for reflection, be it sitting on a log in the forest or within the recess of a rock crevice.
