City Hill Youth and Impact Ministry have teamed up to bring you CAMP 2016! This year's theme is COMMISSION based on Isaiah 6:8 "And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” We have been saved, reedemeed, given a new identity as sons and daughters of the King. We have been COMMISSIONED to something greater than going through the motions of everyday life. Join us this year as we take three days to dive into this theme through worship, prayer, teaching of the word, team activities and so much more! Registration opens June 1st. Ahoy ye pirates and mermaids! Join the Captain and his crew as we spend a week with the pirates and mermaids. Each day, campers will read about both pirates and mermaids and engage in themed crafts. Pop! Fizz! Chemical Reactions - Seattle Preparatory School
This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep. Skits, Scenes, and In-betweens - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
Students will learn the fine art of comedic acting in these humorous and fun short scenes. Getting to choose from a variety of short skits, the performers will learn about comic timing and delivery as they rehearse for a final presentation. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. Dancing With Degas - Spiva Center for the Arts
In this interdisciplinary class, students will look at and analyze the work of Edgar Degas. Students will experiment with similar postures, movements and phrases in relation to Degas work. This is a great opportunity for students to re-interpret the artwork through movement. No dance experience required. Students should wear comfortable clothing and socks. Builder Camp - Camp Hickory Hill
Under the care of an experienced Senior Leader, your young camper can enjoy the Stockade program without the challenge of being away from home for an entire week. He will enjoy activities like archery, canoeing, bb-guns, the climbing wall, Stockade Surprise and more… He will meet new friends and share a cabin with seven other boys his own age and two counselors. Each night will include gathering around the campfire for songs, skits and an exciting story that teaches a Bible truth.
