Team Prep USA will host their 9th annual Rocky Mountain Cross Country Camp in Crested Butte/Gunnison, Colorado. Camp will be held at the Western State College in Gunnison Colorado, home of the Division II perennial powerhouse Mountaineers distance programs and just 30 minutes south of Team Prep USAs headquarters and training center. Attendees of camp will have the opportunity to train at elevations ranging from 7,700 ft. to 10,500 ft. of the Colorado Rocky Elk Mountain Range. The Gunnison Valley of Colorado has become a Mecca, according to Nike for athletes of all kinds to train. Scratch is a tile-based visual programming language developed by MIT that helps teach the logic and problem solving that drive computer programming. Scratch uses command blocks instead of code, and can be used to create interactive stories animations, video games and much more. This class is designed to give younger students an introduction to programming through fun, exciting, and interactive projects. Students exercise more than just their body, learning mental conditioning, athletic routine,emotional control and gameplay strategy. Lions Den Tennis School is where the new school meets the classics. Using the latest fitness tools, students are taught correct technique, including grips for forehand, backhand, serve,volley, court position and much more. Aggie Golf Camp Session 1 - Aggie Golf Learning Center
Designed to improve and educate junior golfers. The Aggie Golf Camp is the premier junior golf instructional camp in the nation, for beginners and advanced campers. All instruction takes place at the Jack Nicklaus/Jack Nicklaus II designed Traditions Golf Club and the 42,000 sq. foot Wahlberg Aggie Golf learning Center. We have a recently completed one of the countries most complete game development outdoor practice facilities. This 10-acre facility includes 7 Champions Bermuda greens, 15 Bunker complexes, 3 water features, dedicated wedge area, and several well-placed teeing areas for a variety of shots. Campers will have daily group instruction covering all aspects of the game. They will also play 9 holes every day with instruction and supervision at Traditions Golf Club. The final day of camp will be a true test of the abilities learned during the week. Students will participate in a competition on the Traditions Club golf course with trophies awarded to the top finishers. Camp will conclude after lunch and the awards ceremony immediately following play. Parents, friends and family are encouraged to attend and enjoy the day. 979.458.3882
College Prep Camp - Non-Appalachian Region - Transylvania University
Transylvanias College Prep Camp will give campers an opportunity to sample college life while gaining academic knowledge and learning how to improve their scores on standardized tests. Morning and afternoon sessions will explore different academic areas through lectures given by Transylvania faculty and staff members. These will often be the same lectures you might receive as a Transylvania student. Evening sessions will help prepare campers for the ACT and SAT exams. They will receive two evenings of math preparation and two evenings of verbal preparation. During camp, participants live in a Transylvania residence hall and eat three meals a day in the dining hall, beginning with breakfast on Monday. Campers can also use Transys library, computer laboratory, and recreational facilities. Internet services will not be available in the dorm rooms. To be eligible for this camp, campers must have a grade average of at least a B and be recommended by two individuals - one of them a teacher or counselor who verifies your grades and confirms that you are interested in and would benefit from the camps program.
