Grades 3-5 This is the camp to take your child?s lacrosse game to the next level with a focus on technique and agility. Our coaches help elevate their game through drills, conditioning and scrimmages. Campers work on ball handling, fast break and transition skills and participate in daily contests and games. Come and enjoy small-sided games and more individual and team competitions. Please bring lacrosse stick, mouthguard, helmet/goggles, protective gloves, water, lunch and a snack. The Salvation Army is hosting a walkathon to raise funds to help send children to summer camp. We offer several camp sessions lasting from three to eight days for children of various ages. Your child will be supervised by caring on-site counselors.There are three types of camping experiences for children ranging in age from six to sixteen which include; residential camps, day camps and teen wilderness camps. We need help raising the funds to supporting sending children to camp. Join us June 4 and help us send children to summer camp.

Snacks will be served and this discussion will be followed by a screening of the second season premiere of Transparent!
Kids In The Arts Fall Camp - Knoxville, TN
A kids in the arts camp with various teachers teaching their loves in art, dance, story and performance. Activities included dance, Improv games, sculpture, dream catcher making, watercolor, painting, zen doodle, stained "glass", paper making, poetry, storytelling and more. Artist teachers include Mimi Eichholz, Jennifer White, Felecia Outsey, Kristi Gilleon, Karl Hess, Claudio Barrientos, Cynthia Baglir and Noelle Harb. On Friday we will take a field trip to Narrow Ridge Eath Literacy Center. Chaperons are welcome as wellas drivers to transport kids! Camp is $200. Scholarships are available too so ask about that. Shining Stars - Musical Theatre (July 11) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp gives young performers a chance to experience being in a theatrical production, focusing on individual and group creativity while working collaboratively as a team. Students will play theatrically based games and work hard on learning and rehearsing for a show. This camp also allows students to experience the rehearsal process and is a great way to prepare them to be a part of a full length play or musical in school or in the community. The campers will participate in a musical through learning songs, dances, and scenes for them to perform as a whole by the end of the session. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. Maître darmes Guillaume Béchaux, has been teaching fencing for 20 years and brings a personal attention to each of his students. Guillaume managed numerous school groups and clubs in France and trained the French wheelchair Olympics team for Athens and Bejiing. The program will develop analytic capabilities and dexterity through a combination of pedagogical games, technicals exercises, tactical exploration and an understanding of the importance of time and space. Fencing is the art of quick reflexes, elegant and athletic movements and mental acuity.
