Mini Kaleidoscope campers...get ready for some fun!!! Campers will explore the thrill and fascination of exploring the world around them. Children will enjoy arts & crafts, games, camp songs, special events, and more. Activities for each week will be focused around a special theme. A weekly schedule will be distributed to each camper on the first day of each session. Morning or full day sessions are available. Children should bring a bag lunch every day unless otherwise noted on the session schedule. Cost includes Camp T-shirt and all supplies. Participants must have Health Information Form on file PRIOR to participation in camp. Extended care available. We are now accepting children 3 1/2-5 years old (Children born on or before December 15, 2011 through entering Kindergarten). Birth certificate required when signing up for the program. All children must be potty trained, no exceptions. Enrollment for each camp session closes the Saturday prior to the upcoming weekly camp session. A $20 late fee will be charged for those who need camp on the Monday of each camp session. The Purpose of this yoga series is to introduce teens and tweens to the practice of yoga while incorporating "mat chats" to process feelings, thoughts,and reactions to daily challenges they may face. The series is broken down for tweens and teens. Environmental Art Camp is a program created specifically for individuals with disabilities over the age of 13 who are interested in the environment and have a love of art. The camp will be under the direction of VSA Tennessee teaching artist, Dee Kimbrell. During the camp, the young people will learn about environmental issues and their effect on our national parks. Participants will create their own tunnel books that reflect ecosystems within the parks. They will also create a larger tunnel book specific to the Smoky Mountain National Park. This book will be given to the park as a 100th anniversary gift at Tremont in October. The book will remain on site as an educational tool. The goal of this camp is to spend 4 days having a blast playing the game of volleyball, learning new techniques, developing team chemistry and exposing teams to new concepts and strategies. The coaches will cover individual skills (passing, setting, attacking, blocking, serving) as well as team concepts (offensive systems, defensive patterns, serve receive patterns, transition). There will be a day and a half of training followed by two days of competition. Individuals may also attend. They will be skill tested and put on teams. The emphasis for this camp is on building team concepts within each group of players. (Ages 11-18) Check in will be Sunday at 4:00 pm and Check out will be Wednesday at 11:00 am 863-680-4474
