Canyon Creek is just about an hour’s drive outside LA and I’m really glad we took our kids. They learned a lot about several different sports and seemed to be really excited when we picked them up. It is near a large lake and is a beautiful area. The camp was huge and had many sporting facilities. All of the equipment seemed to be new and the camp counselors were great with the kids. Activities and cooking experiments allow aspiring chefs to explore the science behind cooking and try different foods, while learning cooking basics. Then we tackle a world of monsters, creatures, and creeps - from furry to scaly! For our adventure in Color and Design, each student will create a personalized Japanese kimono, an Escher-like graphic, or a study in primitive art. For the last adventure of the day, all artists will choose either still life drawing or portraiture as a study in technique.
