3rd Annual Fireworks Fundraiser "Celebrate and Laugh" for Avengers Fre
The Avengers Mentoring Organization (501c3) presents it's 3rd Annual Charity Fireworks Fundraiser for our 5th Annual Summer Camp! Our FREE summer camp serves 300 children ages 6-13 in and around the Metro-Detroit area. This daily camp runs from July 11, 2016-August 19, 2016. Locations are: The Golightly Education Center (5536 St. Antoine) and George Crockett Academy (4851 14th St) in Detroit. During the camp, children are involved in team sports such as: volleyball, basketball, kickball, baseball and more, arts and crafts, group mentoring, outdoor recreational play and are also served by a mobile dentist. Meals are provided by Good Samaritan Food and is run by up to 25 volunteers! Field trips are also optional and available! This year's theme is "Celebrate and Laugh," the fireworks is a tradition in Metro-Detroit, get a magnificent view of the fireworks at One Woodward on the 19th floor! Enjoy a barbecue style meal, laughs by Comedians Mic Larry and Simply Shanell and enjoy the sounds of singing sensation and recording artist Johnyce! There will be music, dancing and many activities, as well as a VIP charter ride to and from the event! But most of all, you will be a part of helping the Avengers...

Kadesh Youth Camp - Dover Plains, NY
2nd Annual Kadesh Youth Camp Come and join our last hoorah for the summer. !! Held at CAMP BERKSHIRE in Wingdale, NY on SEPTEMBER 4-6, 2015. Our speaker is our very own PASTOR JON CLAYBURN AGE: 18+ ( under 18, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) Cost is $30 PER PERSON, which includes the stay, Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast, fun activities, and more summer memories. PAYMENT IS DUE by SEPTEMBER 1, payable to DANBURY-BETHEL SDA CHURCH. There is NO FOOD served on Friday evening, so we do encourage you to have something to eat beforehand or bring snacks to munch on. I Troop Camping May 6, 7 & 8 - Sandy Ridge
Spend some time camping with your Girl Scout Troop at Sandy Ridge! Price includes accommodations at Sandy Ridge. Troop is responsible for food and programming during their stay. Troop leaders are required to have specific trainings to camp overnight with their Troop at Sandy Ridge. Please contact Michaela Watts at 843-552-9910 ext. 2390 or for more information on training. Troops must have approval by GSESC to overnight camp at Sandy Ridge. A Trip Approval Form must be submitted to your Regional Volunteer Services Specialist (VSS) at least three weeks prior to reservation date. Musical selections will be taken from the Essential Elements Book and sheet music. There will be a daily home practice requirement of approximately 15-25 minutes depending on age. This daily practice allows for optimal learning and progress. Tenor 1: High School Choir - University of Texas at Austin
The High School Choir Camp is open to choral students who are entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12. Intensive study of the upcoming All-State repertoire is the primary focus of this acclaimed program for high school singers. One set of the All-State audition music will be provided to each camper at no additional charge. **Students need not have previously been a member of a TMEA All-State choral ensemble. Professor James Morrow, Director of Choral Activities, and Professor Suzanne Pence, Professor of Choral Music Education, conduct. Sculpture in Clay with Gul Ruk Selim (Ages 12-17) - Young People
Students will work with clay and learn basic sculptural techniques, including modeling, adding and taking away material. Students will work from objects as models or from their imagination, creating both abstract and figurative sculptures. Learn how to construct light armature as well as techniques for constructing hollow cylinders and spheres and cuboids as the base of their forms. Students will also have the opportunity to sculpt a human head from a model! For this we would work with each other as models! Both new and experienced artists are welcome. 2035624927 x14
