Do you ever wonder what you can do to give your child a head start in reading and writing for first grade? Come to A First Look at First Grade for a basic introduction to first grade reading and writing skills. Campers will have a fun-filled week getting to know what its like to be a first grade reader and writer. Activities include: multi-sensory reading activities, writing workshop experiences, utilizing reading and writing iPad apps especially for first grade, an introduction to Friday premiers, and a look at OTS first grade edible education program. Fourth Annual MLK Day of Service & Kids Camp - Oaklyn, NJ
KIDS CAMP- 8:30am-4pm (aftercare available until 5:30pm) COST: $10 donation (includes lunch) Let's work together to build the Beloved Community! Activities include: Singing, songwriting, sports, skits, stories, arts and crafts teaching the message of community and nonviolence. We Work Together, We Rock! Service will take place between 9am-2:30pm and various hours in between depending on service site, location and project. FREEDOM MARCH & MLK BIRTHDAY PERFORMANCE: Beginning at 2:30pm, the KIDS CAMP kids will march from Community Rocks! to the Oaklyn Baptist Church with signs in hand about FREEDOMS they are grateful for and messages of peace, love kindness. We'll arrive at the church between 3-3:30 to sing songs, share teachings and eat cake!
