With a name like Camp Thunderbird, how could you go wrong? Our son had such a wonderful time. The pictures of his water skiing are the best! He was also very excited about the sailing lessons and has been going around the house tying everything into proper knots. Before we enrolled our boy we were given a complete tour of the grounds and had an opportunity to meet a lot of the staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. I knew our boy would be taken... Workshop sessions may include topics such as communication, goal setting, mindset management, teamwork, leadership style and the impact of service learning. This event is a great way to learn about Camp Fire programs like Teens in Action or the Spring Break Road Trips and kick-off the year ahead! Camp Fire will also present information about how to begin earning your Wohelo Award, the highest achievement in Camp Fire. Find your youth voice and learn to put it into action! Prior experience in Camp Fire, Camp Sealth, or program membership is not required. Lunch and all workshop materials will be provided by Camp Fire and is included in your registration fee. Walworth Family Reunion Notice! Date: August 12, 13, 14, 2016 Arrive: 6:00 p.m. on 12th Depart: 4:00 p.m. on Sunday the 14th Camp Fees: My contract says $550.00 per day for 50 people. $10.00 per person per day over 50 people. Children 7 and under are free. This may change a bit but not much if it does. Food: We have traditionally hosted and pd. for the Friday night meal as we aren’t traveling. Saturday 3 meals, and Sunday 2 meals will be provided for the actual cost of the food, and divided by the total number of people coming. Children 7 and under are free. All of you who have come to the Lion’s camp in the past are familiar with the Nazi who was running it. I am pleased to announce that she is no longer there. A wonderful lady by the name of Jessica Thomas is running it now. Her and I discovered today that the Nazi manager wrote us into a different date than I was told at our last reunion there. I think I am just happy to have a reservation, as they are already booked out a long way. So some of you will think it’s a July date, but...
Loving Care "Kids for Kids" Campaign 5K &1 Mile Fun Run - Ottawa, OH
Come join the fun! It's a great way to be part of teaching children the importance of helping others while getting some exercise! This year’s event will be focused on helping others. Barrett Lammers, a preschool student here at Loving Care, was born with polycystic kidney disease. He had been doing well managing with this until a few months ago when an abnormal growth was found between his liver and pancreas called a choledochal cyst. This required him to have an extensive surgery and rehabilitation this spring. His prognosis is positive, however, he will need to have continued close monitoring throughout his entire life. We are planning a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run and Diaper Dash with all proceeds from this event being donated to Barrett’s family to assist with medical expenses.

Fairytale Storybook Production - Barn Second Floor
Storybook Production is a NEW program developed for young performers that combines a classroom experience and a production! We will develop our own individual characters and create a storyline together, including scenes, songs, and dancing. The production will be based on their favorite Fairytales. Instruction will include basics of vocal projection, stage movement, line memorization, character development and ensemble work. This class is a great introduction to stage acting and a way to help build self confidence, feel part of a supportive community and build performance skills. This program is designed for students age 4-1st grade. Performance will be held in our Performance Center May 6th at 5:30pm. Dress Rehearsal will take place May 5th 4:30-6pm. MSA Youth Soccer Academy 3/8 (8-12yrs) - Camarillo Community Center
The focus of the camp is to teach the technical skills of soccer (passing, receiving, finishing, dribbling and heading) through imaginative and small sided games. Each day, the trainers will emphasize a different skill and the campers will try to master the skills through fun and exciting games. The trainers will encourage good sportsmanship, fair play and having fun! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REFUND POLICY: A cancellation fee of $10 per transaction will be deducted for requested refunds/transfers. A refund (less $10) may be granted if the District is notified five (5) business days prior to the first class meeting. Refunds will NOT be granted within five (5) days of the first class meeting, or anytime thereafter. Registrants failing to be present for the program will forfeit all fees paid. Camp will meet from Noon-5:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and at 7:00-5:30pm on Friday. Activities will include: arts and crafts, passive games,educational games, group activity games, sports, strength and conditioning, rhythms, and free play. There will be swimming from 4:00-5:00pm in the Middle School pool. Activities will be geared for children 5-12 years of age. Bring a snack, swim suit and towel. Campers should report to the HS cafeteria and enter door #29 on days that camp starts at Noon. Campers will be escorted to the MS Gym after lunch by camp counselors. When camp begins at 7:00 am campers should report to the Middle School Gym and enter through door #36. In order to register for this activity, you must first click to open the participation waiver and then place your initials in the left box to confirm that you read and agree.
