Weve moved the camp to the college of Saint Mary campus providing a great venue for the kids to be active and be a Race Omaha "Tri Star!" ACT-OUT! Acting School proudly announces Our Seventh Annual Youth Summer Camp and Production of "Tom & Huck!" The Story of Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn (all roles in "Tom & Huck!" are open, and may be cast to actors of any age 3-18, any race, or any gender). Since 2007, Act-Out! has been providing Bay Ridge & the Greater Brooklyn Area with world-class acting instruction at very affordable prices. We have served students of all ages and levels of experience, from beginners to Broadway veterans. Led by NYS-Certified drama teacher and Award-winning actor John Stillwaggon (see below for brief biography), students learn physical and vocal preparation, improvisation, line memorization, stagecraft, action/obstacle work, as well as character and scene analysis. We look forward to it as another opportunity for us all to share our time together at this beautiful place where you can catch up with one another, have sports, games and fun, and most importantly, it presents an invaluable opportunity to give praise to the Lord and indulge into His holy Word to learn more about our Lord Jesus Christ! The topic this year is "If you believe, you will see the glory of God" (John 11:40). We were able to secure this location for $170 for the entire duration of the camp per person. Through sculpture, drawing, and artistic problem solving students will create their own unique projects. Using the materials found in the forest; students learn, play, experiment, and explore the world around them to create works of art that enhance the beauty of the natural world. Join BYU mens tennis head coach Brad Pearce for a week of incredible tennis! Learn strategies, tactics and techniques through drills, on-court instruction and singles and doubles play. Players will receive instruction on the fundamentals of all major strokes and will practice these strokes through feeding, live-ball drilling and competitive match-play. Students will hone their skills as they have an opportunity to advance through each of five stations that are set up to practice every aspect of their game. They will also have an opportunity to improve their fitness and participate in competitive off-court games that focus on enhancing their flexibility through stretching, agility and endurance. In addition, they will play competitive matches in both singles and doubles. This is excellent preparation for anyone interested in participating in high school tennis or preparing to compete in USTA leagues and/or tournaments. On Friday of each week, all participants will play in an individual singles tournament against players that are at their level. Trophies are awarded for the winners and runner-ups, but all will play multiple matches. The camp concludes after the tournament on Friday with an awards ceremony.
