$5 gets you admission and one vote at this special ALL AGES event, where 4 regional bands (including CIRRUS MINOR) will compete to win a slot on the SUMMER CAMP MUSIC FESTIVAL in Chilicothe, Illinois on Memorial Day Weekend; this would have us playing alongside Mudcrutch (with Tom Petty), Umphrey's McGee, Fishbone, STS9, moe., George Clinton and P-Funk.... and so many more! We need your vote! Also, we need people to help spread the word- we haven't played since October, plus, Joe Corbin (our drummer) will NOT be playing this show with us- he and his wife are expecting a new baby within a couple days of the show- so you will see a Cirrus Minor show unlike any you have seen before... gonna get creative! Saturday Theater - Comedy Sketch Stage Performance - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
From Saturday Night Live, to Second City, to classic TV comedy shows such as Carol Burnett and films such as Monty Python, comedy sketch has always been an important form of acting. Saturday Theater will present a series of classic comedy scenes featuring these classics. We will present infamous sketches from Carol Burnetts comedy show such as the Gone with the Breeze scene, As the Stomach Turns soap opera as well as Old Folks. We will do spoofs on famous TV shows such as Gypardy with Alex Payback, Star Schmeck with Schlock, Scooty, & Captain Quirk, Lifestyles of the Drab and Ridiculous. Other sketches include Lisa & Leonardo, Barbie and Ken break-up, & the Ninja Sisters and more. 8-Week Introduction to non-contact rugby for grades 3rd-5th! Non-contact rugby is a modified version of the traditional tackle version of the game and is an excellent way to introduce the sport to new or young players. This version of the game focuses on the fundamental skills of rugby which help develop basic motor skills and coordination, while also having a huge emphasis on having fun! 1st-4th grade: American Doll and Etiquette Camp - Saint Marys School
Etiquette and good manners is all about kindness, consideration and truthfulness. This camp will celebrate young girls and all that they can be. We will try to speak to their imagination and teach them the importance of friends and family. We will use Role Play and other fun activities to entertain, educate and inspire them. The Etiquette section will include: Memory Work; a written invitation; making proper introductions; using proper telephone etiquette. We will learn to make an appointment, make purchases and just ask questions. We will set a proper table, drink hot tea from a teacup and eat hot soup with a spoon. Finally, we will help set up a proper Tea Table for our Graduation Tea. During this week of camp we will enjoy our dolls and even choose our own Doll of the Year. As we study good character traits, we will try to spark their imagination and teach them the importance of family and friends as we name and develop our very own Doll of the Year, we will write a short book about her.
