Our summer comedy camps attract students from all over the world to learn improv, make friends, and perform on our stage! Monday through Friday 9am - 3:30pm Students are grouped by ages 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18. No previous experience is needed. Camp ends with a free show where the students show off what theyve learned! Each day, the students rotate through three subjects: ?Improv: An Intro to the rules of Improv; saying yes, working together, listening, and having fun. ?Sketch Comedy: An intro to the basics of writing sketch comedy scenes. ?Musical Improv: Learn to spontaneously put words to music. I love this camp for my kids because they were able to go and have a great time while staying safe, but the best part is that they get to come home at night and tell us all about their adventurous day. I love hearing about the laughs and the good times and hearing how awesome the staff is. We really couldn't ask for a better day camp for our kids. (Ages 4-7) Our youngest artists will have an exciting time becoming printmakers. Students will engage in group activities designed to promote teamwork and creative thinking through the creation of a collaborative class project, will make their own stamps and printing plates, use an etching press and have a stomping good time with Miss Marjorie! Storytellers (Ages 4-7) Storytelling helps students improve their language skills, instills a love of reading and stirs imaginations. In this first-time class, talented professor of visual art Jennifer Pepper will guide students through painting, drawing and mixed media activities based on a variety of classic and contemporary children’s stories. Sculpt This! (Ages 8-12) Students will explore sculpture by examining the distinct ways artists have explored 3D forms throughout history. Chamber Music Camp July 18-22, 9am-4pm Grades 9-12 Come make music amongst friends! Trios, quartets, quintets are forming with strings, piano, woodwinds and brass.
