When the water gets low the Black is the place to be. Great playboating at Hole Brothers, and a great river running all weekend. Boaters of all skill levels are welcome. Friday: Evening: Sunset surf session at Hole Brothers. Drinks and food at Maggie's on the River. Saturday: Morning surf session followed by a river run Freestyle clinics will be available. Sunset surf session Evening: Cookout in the campground Sunday: Freestyle clinics will be available. Freestyle Competition and/or Gorge Race Awards and Wrap-Up Camping: Black River Bay Campground. YDL Soccer Girls (5th & 6th ) 2015-2016 - VENUE LOCATION
Join us as our Wildcat Soccer is changing to YDL versus CASA this year! Open to all 5th and 6th grade girls. We will form an all girls team if we have enough registered girls. If there are not enough girls to form a girls only team we will then have a coed team(s). Practices will be held on the Japonica athletic field beginning Feb 1st. Games will be played on Saturdays. This will be a 6 week session: Game dates are set for: 2/20, 2/27, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, Mon 3/21 OR Tues 3/22. Player registration includes officials costs, new jersey, and a Page Mate photo. Player is responsible for black soccer shorts (per coach discretion), socks/shin guards, and soccer cleats. Join us as we take art to This is the Place Park. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch pioneer-era architecture, gardens, and people in period costume. We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers, and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques while spending time outdoors and learning about Utahs history. We will provide all the supplies as well as a VAI t-shirt for all students. You will need to come prepared with a water bottle, sunscreen (already applied), hat, and small folding chair. 801-474-3796

Fundamentals Sports Camp is a six week program which may include basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, Summer Olympics, and flag football. Each week we focus on learning the rules and history of a sport, playing it at least once each day. Old camp favorites such as dodge ball, capture the flag, four square, and pirate ball are incorporated into the program as well. However, Fundamentals Sports Camp is not only about the games we play but it is our "off the field" curriculum that sets us apart form other sports day camps. Informal discussions on sports current events, character-building, sportsmanship, and choosing role models are held daily. Fundamentals teaches children the value of teamwork and commitment which are the essential elements of success in sports, as well as in life.
