LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Boys Basketball - Sanford Day Camp
Stan Waterman will be the head coach for our Basketball program. Stan is the head basketball coach at Sanford since 1991. Under Stans direction, Sanford won multiple State Championships. Stan played point guard at the University of Delaware and is the Dean of Students at Sanford. He is considered to be an outstanding teacher of youth. Stan utilizes both courts of the Sports Center to set up stations for dribbling, passing, jump shooting and foul shooting. The afternoons are used for small team play. 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, etc. By the end of the week, all players are participating in full team scrimmages. Players can expect a good workout every day. -------------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. --------------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp. An afternoon icy treat will be served. --------------- At the end of Sport/Specialty Camp registration, you can register your child for Day Camp at: 610-565-4850

I have a daughter who is 9 and a son who is 11. They both enjoy this 4-H camp because of the friendships they have formed along with the skills they have learned. The Republican Women of Rock Island County are sponsoring a fun trivia night for the benifit of the Jacaranda Youth Camp, a basketball camp that will be taking place later this year in Nairobi, Kenya! More information can be found at this link. www.gofundme.com/nairobibasketball The evenet will be held at MGT New Hope in Moline, 2305 7th Ave at 6:30 on Saturday, June 11th. Please come out and support not only the team going to the Jacaranda Community (http://jacarandacommunity.com/) but also the RWRICo as we get the priveledge of blessing another community! A seat is $10 per person or commit to a whole table for $65 (if booked ahead)! Please RSVP to garuntee a spot. We have 14 tables available. There will be a bake sale table as well! Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. Call (325-655-7321), email ([email protected]), Facebook message (TGCL Teen Republic), or drop by in person to reserve seats! Sign-ups will open November 21! Boys Day Camp - Weisfeld Family Golf Center
The Michigan Golf program offers outstanding instructional opportunities for golfers entering grades 6 through 12 who are interested in improving their game at the University of Michigan. The coaches of the Michigan Golf Team will teach the fundamentals of short game, give person full-swing instruction, and address on-course strategies. Students will participate in skill contests and have the opportunity to learn on course strategies at our on- site, Alister Mackenzie golf course. We will also utilize V1 golf video instructions, Trackman Radar System, and each camper will receive a personalized report with a coaches evaluation and a game plan for continued improvement. 734-604-5506

This is the Ultimate 100 Camp Invite Only event for current Juniors/rising Seniors, It will be located in the midwest. If you are invited from the Midwest Region you should register here. States that are in this region are Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE THE U100 IN YOUR REGION, YOU MAY SIGN UP FOR THE CAMP AT ANY OTHER LOCATION. It is the only national camp in the USA, where we will rank the top 100 players from a select group campers Top Sophomores in the USA over one day. In addition, we will choose top athletes from this camp to the U100 Top Propsect Camp and Potentially the NUC All American Game.
