2016 Teen Safe Driving Camp - Forsyth, GA
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, will be holding the 9th annual Safe Driving Camp for ages 15-17. The one day camp will teach new drivers about the consequences of distracted driving, the dangers of driving impaired, tips for defensive driving, skid recovery techniques, safety at railroad crossings, and demonstrate important vehicle maintenance practices. The camp will take place at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center from 9:00am until 4:30pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Anyone wishing to attend must complete the application and return it to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office either in person or by mail. Deadline for applications is Friday, July 01, 2016. Applications may be picked up at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office during normal business hours. Space is limited.

Session 2- Advanced Residential and Extended Day Camp - University of Maryland
This camp is an all-encompassing program specifically designed for the more serious soccer player. The focus here will be to challenge each individual to transfer what they have learned in the morning skill sessions and the afternoon small group tactics into the competitive full-field evening games. You will play on the same fields that the University of Maryland Mens Soccer Team utilizes. Marinwoods camp for middle school students mixes the skills taught in babysitter training with the fun of camp! Campers will learn basic child care, the business of babysitting, become certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid, and receive an American Red Cross Babysitter Training Certificate. They will also practice cooking skills, learn kid-friendly games, go swimming and have the opportunity to work with our youngest camps. This week will leave campers with the confidence and knowledge to start taking care of little ones! Camp fee includes babysitter handbook & certificate and First Aid/CPR certification.
