Intro to Non-Contact Lacrosse Camp - Age 5-7 - 2555 Dale Street North
Lacrosse: the fastest growing team sport in America. This camp is designed for girls and boys. Non-contact lacrosse, also know as "Soft Lacrosse" is played. Individual skills are taught: catching, throwing, scooping and cradling. Campers will be divided by age and skill level. Sports Unlimited provides all the equipment. and focuses on fun, skill development, team play, safety and sportsmanship. Campers should bring sunscreen, water and a snack. Rain make ups will take place on Fridays. This summer-long program allows students who enjoy shooting the 3-D targets a chance to shoot at a variety of different clubs throughout the summer. Its a fun way for participants to hone their skills, challenge each other, enjoy the great outdoors. Club 3-D is for students who have completed grades 4-12 who have their own archery equipment. All curriculum will be aligned with Common Core Standards. Students will be given optional homework, needed literature and academic materials. Parents will be given an opportunity to share their childs needs prior to the camps introduction so curriculum can be individualized. Students will use the athletic activities and games to guide academic projects. Think calculating averages, graphing and sport related literature. Boot Campers will receive one-on-one and small group instruction!
