A great option for parents who work, TONS-O-FUN Camp offers a fun and safe Extended Day program from 7:30-8:30AM and 3:30-5:00PM for an additional fee. Extended Day includes supervised and partially structured activities, including arts and crafts, games and sports.One fee gives participants access to both morning and afternoon extended care. Parents can flex use of the program daily based on their needs. Come early, stay late or do both. It?s up to you! Participants must be registered in advance by the week to participate. Please note that there will be a minimum number of campers required for each session to run extended camp hours. Fall Teen Adventure Weekend - West Branch, MI
Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. This course is being offered in conjunction with the Webb Institute in Glen Cove: a private engineering college that offers a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Students work individually or in teams to design and build a boat that serves a specific mission. Each team is given a list of materials and then must collaborate on the design and construction of their boat. Student volunteers from Webb will assist the teams in applying engineering and physics to enhance the design of their projects. The week culminates with a field trip to the Webb Institute, where students get to test their construction skills under various conditions, tour their amazing facility, and visit the Robinson Model Basin to put their designs to the test by completing numerous challenges.
