Pre-register for a 10am audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 10am audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 9:30am with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 9:45am your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. We cannot guarantee that that will be the next audition group. Summer Art Camp for Kids babaMonday-Friday, July 11-15, 9-12am Special outdoor dinner and performance on Friday, July 15, beginning at 6pm. Explore new areas in the arts at Summer Art Camp, July 11-15 at Ozark Folkways! Create giant masks and bring the characters of the Russian folk tale Baba Yaga to life as you experiment with music-making, movement, and mime! There will be witches, magical animals, fabulous costumes, lights, music and action: fun for all levels. Everyone will take part in a final performance at dusk on Friday, July 15 on our outdoor stage, the Crow’s Nest. The community will be invited to join in a weiner roast before the show, and then to marvel at the amazing performance the kids will have put together in a single week! Cost is $25 per child and includes all supplies and a healthy mid morning snack each day. Space is limited! Pre-registration is required and spots are available on a first come first serve basis. Four Elements Kid's Camp - Naples, FL
Children 5 to 12 years are invited to one or both days of our half-day camps. Our activities will reflect each of these four elements, and be predominantly outside, so dress for comfort! We’ll explore air and fire on Thursday, learning about the power of air currents and our biggest fireball, the sun. On Friday, special guest Valerie Flanigan from Driftwood Garden Center will help us make and/or decorate stepping stones for our garden (earth), then we move to the element of water, where we create an ocean in a bottle and play with watercolor magic. We end with Tai Chi by Elena Roubicek! Registration is required and each session is limited to 10 participants so we can give our best to each child. All materials are provided, including a snack. Center Stage! - King of the Jungle - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Center Stage is where all actors dream to be! In this camp students develop foundational theater skills throughout the week by rotating through drama, dance, music and art class but all with our main goal - to have fun! Each session focuses on the music and stories of some of the best of Broadway as students work to create their own version of the story to present in a performance for family and friends on the final day of camp. Each session focuses on different music, so sign up for 1 or all 4 and meet us Center Stage. This session is "King of the Jungle" and uses Music from The Lion King, and Jungle Book among others. 817-421-2825
Speed & Agility Camp, Session 2 - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
Where: Wroubel Center, main gym, outdoor & sand courts About: Students who attend this camp will work on all aspects of conditioning, including but not limited to speed training, agility, quickness, and anaerobic conditioning. This camp incorporates sprint mechanics and footwork as it relates to various cone, ladder, band and sprint drills, first step quickness and lateral movements. Students will be exposed to different resisted movements as well as basic agility and plyometrics. Great for sports that need high levels of conditioning like Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, etc. By using some of these techniques, some of the 2015 football players lowered their 40-yd dash & pro-agility and increased their vertical jump. This will also help soccer with improving pre-season testing results and in-season conditioning. **Sign up for both speed & agility sessions and pay only $100. Discount will automatically load at checkout.** What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, shoes for indoor and outdoor, socks, water bottle, and a readiness to prepare for your upcoming season.
