In this STEM camp students will design and construct a rocket out of ordinary materials. They will construct parachutes for the rockets and see how long it takes for the rockets to fall back to the ground after launch. FCYD Camp is proof positive that being diagnosed with diabetes means you have to live a sheltered life. We tried to tell that to our daughter all the time but she never really embraced the idea until she found herself surrounded by kids in her same situation. We have 6 Camps $44 per week ($24 Single Day Drop-In) Only 2 weeks (on Tues & Thurs) out of each Summer month. 1st Camp, June - Tues 21st & Thurs 23rd 2nd Camp, June - Tues 28th & Thurs 30th 3rd Camp, July - Tues 19th & Thurs 21st 4th Camnp, July - Tues 26th & Thurs 28th 5th Camp, Aug - Tues 9th & Thurs 11th 6th Camp, Aug - Tues 16th & Thurs 18th Dress Code will be more relaxed but still able to move and dance in, preferably leotard and tights and Ballet shoes with hair out of face...and no clothing with glitter ;) We also ask that Parents drop kids off and pick back up, NO Peeking or Sitting and watching until we present our Showcases on the Thursdays 3:55pm :) We will hold the Camps if we have a minimum of 2 dancers but will cap each day at 10 dancers. February 19-20 (Times to be announced) In addition to having an awesome time getting to hang out with the youth group, we will be getting to hang out with youth ministry families as well. We will have food, games, and times of Bible study. Our Bible study will be centered on the roles of students, parents, and youth pastor in the development of students as disciples of Jesus. If you are a non-camper, you are still welcome to come hang out and fellowship. Day visiters will be subject to regular park admission fees: $3 per vehicle for 1-2 people and $5 per vehicle for 3-8 people. Further details coming...

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 God's people will never be perfect this side of heaven (Romans 3:9-12). Nevertheless, we are called to be holy because God is holy (Leviticus 11:44)... which sounds impossible. But the word "holiness" in Hebrew literally means "set-apartness." God isn't demanding impossible perfection. He calls every believer to live as uniquely separate (Leviticus 20:26), devoted to Him (1 Kings 8:53) and completely different from the world (1 Peter 1:13-16). It should be obvious to anyone who sees us that we are set apart (John 15:5-8). Jesus came to break our sin cycle and restore humanity's connection with our Creator God (2 Corinthians 5:19-21). Placing saving faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ's death on the cross justifies us before God (Romans 5:6-11). That incredible forgiveness and grace compels the true disciple toward righteousness, walking in God's ways not because we earn His grace, but because our love and thanksgiving manifests itself as obedience (1 John 5:1-5). Acorn (Pre-school: Ages 3 - 5) - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
Acorns will spend the week creating nature-inspired crafts, taking a wagon ride, cooling off with water play, hiking Little Mountain, playing, exploring and having an all-round great time. Acorns will enjoy a separate worship service with age appropriate songs and lessons. Acorns are led by trained staff at a ratio of 1:6. Acorn camp is for children who have not yet attended Kindergarten and are potty trained. Acorns go home before lunch but will be provided a nutritious morning snack. Drop off is between 7:30 and 8:30. Pick up is between 12:00 and 12:30. 336-629-4085
