Fall Teen Adventure Weekend - West Branch, MI
Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Students will create a school newspaper that may include sections such as jokes/riddles, short stories, poems, other types of creative writing, student led staff interviews, school news/events, illustrations, etc. The end result will be a published newspaper that the students will administer to the student body and staff. 609-298-6900

All activities this week will revolve around sports. We will allow the children to select several sport related activities to participate in each day. These events can be anything from soccer,baseball/softball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, cheerleading and other miscellaneous sports. We hope to provide campers with the opportunity to play various sports or sports related activities throughout the week. Sports Camp- Session I 2 weeks - Prairie View Park
A variety of sports will be introduced including floor hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and more! We will also play smaller, team-style sports such as dodgeball, kickball, capture the flag, and other schoolyard style sports. Campers will go on several sports related field trips throughout the summer. All campers will receive a camp shirt and must bring a sack lunch and water bottle to camp each day. You will be assigned a cabin and team for the week, sign up for three achievements like archery, music, fishing, drama and more (15+ to choose from). Suggested drop off and pick up times of 8:30 and 6:00 but we can tailor for your familys needs.
