Tremper Cheerleaders are holding their Basketball Cheer Kid's Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 4th from 9:00 am to Noon at Tremper High School. Girls will play games, learn cheers, jumps and a short dance. Cost is $30.00 which includes a t-shirt to wear on the performance day which is Tuesday, Feb. 7th @ 5:30. Girls should arrive at Tremper at 4:30 to run through things. The girls will do sidelines for the 1st half of the JV Basketball game with the Tremper Cheerleaders and then perform at 1/2 time with them as well. After halftime, they are free to leave. Exclusive for Non-Profit Youth Groups! Registration limited to first 30 youth Become a GC wildlife detective while on school vacation! Come to Gardner Camp for hands-on learning about wildlife and animals of all kinds. Nationally renowned World Bird Sanctuary will be at GC to present a live animal program where you will experience an up-close view of animals from all kingdoms. After learning about the different types of animals and the signs that animals leave behind, participants will test their investigation skills solving a mystery and go on a tracking adventure, weather permitting. Participants will also walk away with their very own handmade wildlife tracks t-shirt. Within this program, there is also a giveback opportunity to help World Bird Sanctuary. Canvas Painting (AGES 5-7 for the PM) Explore the colorful world of paint with teaching artist Deron Cohen (www.deroncohen.com). We will be making at least two paintings over these 5 days. Through step-by-step instruction and demonstration, students will learn how to break down an image into its most basic shapes and transfer those shapes onto the canvas. We will also explore the Imagination as students are guided through a creative process that encourages experimentation while also re-enforcing all of the previous techniques and skills developed.
