I had the pleasure of working at this summer camp for nearly a decade. As a certified educator working in the public schools I can attest that Camp Birch Hill is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their social skills, learn how to collaborate, and most importantly, have FUN! Craft Fair & Flea Market- Benefits Youth Missions Camp & Leadership Re
Since the Dallas Harvest Festival has been cancelled, we have moved our annual Craft Fair fundraiser to that Saturday, (Sept. 19th) cause folks like YOU will be looking for something else to do. Additionally we will be expanding to include a Flea Market! Come shop at the Craft Fair for gifts, home decor, handcrafted jewelry, wood crafts, and more. This year's event includes a flea market, bake sale, and a chili cook-off. The Snackshop will be open with some delicious lunch & dinner specials including our famous APPLE DUMPLINGS!-Get 'em while they last! Proceeds will benefit students attending Student Life Camp and/or the Fall Leadership Retreat.
Big Kid on Campus
Do you know or have kids that have in some way been affected by cancer, whether that means they have battled it themselves or have loved ones that have? Would they enjoy spending a day at Georgia Tech with college students? Then bring them on out to Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship for Big Kid on Campus, a Saturday full of fun! We are hosting a day full of fun entertainment and activities including games, crafts, makeovers, kickball with the Georgia Tech Softball team, and even an appearance by Santa! If you are interested in volunteering to make this happen and spend the day with these wonderful kiddos, you are also welcome! We need student volunteers at each and every event and would love to have YOU. So, if you so desire, come to as much as you are able to throughout the day and please RSVP to this event! Thanks! Our 1/2 day camp provides professional soccer training covering technical and tactical training for 5 days. The program emphasizes psychological dimensions such as motivation, confidence, leadership, and game smarts. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt and camp will conclude with an awards ceremony on Friday. Have a blast acting out on the stage! Campers will gain and strengthen tools for creating characters, stories, and wacky scenarios for the stage. Pick your session or take them all, as each week offers a new creative path for campers to explore. Character development, playwriting, improvisation, ensemble work and overall confidence are just some of the skills campers will master!
