The one day camp will teach new drivers about the consequences of distracted driving, the dangers of driving impaired, tips for defensive driving, skid recovery techniques, safety at railroad crossings, and demonstrate important vehicle maintenance practices. The camp will take place at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center from 9:00am until 4:30pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Anyone wishing to attend must complete the application and return it to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office either in person or by mail. Deadline for applications is Friday, July 01, 2016. Chincapin Camp – For girls who are new to horseback riding or would like to focus more on other activities, this track allows them a wholesome balance of camp experiences. Chincapin campers ride 3-4 hours per week and spend the rest of their time at archery, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts and more. Chincapin Camp with Horseback Riding Focus – For girls who live and breathe horses, this track allows them the maximum amount of time possible in the barn. Horseback Riding campers spend 5 hours per week riding, and also learn about horse care, tacking, etc. When not in the barn, Horseback Riding Focus campers choose from all the other activities that Chincapin offers. 440-256-0716

Grades 5-12 (Day Camp) Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Monday morning in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Parents are welcome to attend the training sessions and observe. A medical release form has been enclosed and the registration process will move along much more quickly if this form is filled out (or mailed in) prior to checking in. We will begin camp at 9:00 AM throughout the week and end around 4:00 PM. Camp will conclude on Thursday with a tournament all day and an awards ceremony following at 3:00 PM. I encourage all parents to attend the ceremony and celebrate the weeks accomplishments with the campers and coaching staff. 616-254-1671

Have a BLAST with us at Camp Kaboom! There is no need to look further, this camp has it all! From games, to arts & crafts, sports, performing arts, swimming and weekly fieldtrips, Camp Kaboom has something for everyone. We provide 2 healthy snacks and lunch every day. Camp Kaboom is located at the Community Activities Building in Room 4. Post care is available from 5-6pm at an additional cost. *Fieldtrips are subject to change Post care is available from 5-6pm at an additional cost.
