LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Cheerleading - Norfolk Christian Schools
Come out and learn Cheerleading under the direction of an multi award winning coach and NCS Varsity squad. Coach Amanda Beery has led her team to FCC National Championships, coached girls to win Individual and Team performance awards. During this week of camp campers will learn skills that emphasize proper form and as well as safety. Stunting: Starting with low-level skills such as thigh stands and progressing to semi-advanced stunts. Tumbling: Cartwheels, handstands and round offs. Those with a solid tumbling background will work on back handspring technique. Motions: Learn all motions and the names for each arm placement with a focus on sharp and properly executed technique. Cheers: Cheers will be taught to the participants, implementing the skills learned at camp Dance: A dance will be taught utilizing the needed to excel in cheer dance. Berrien County Riders 2016 Annual MDA Summer Camp Run - Saint Joseph,
10 am sign up at the mark. $20.00 driver $10.00 rider. Ride leaves at noon on a scenic route to the Dowagiac Moose and then back to playland hall on Nickerson Ave. Lunch and dinner supplied. Cash bar. Door prizes and silent auction. We want to make this one of the largest events we have done for MDA and send as many kids to camp as we can at no charge to them. For Boys and Girls Ages 4-12 years old 12:30 PM - 4:00PM This program offers children a chance to participate in many different sports such as basketball, soccer, floor hockey, volleyball, and other physical education type activities. Civil War Life - Old Trail School
Explore the Civil War with author, historian and former Gettysburg National Park Ranger, Jeff Evans. Throughout the course of the week we will experience Civil War drill, clothing, equipment and even food. Campers receive their own Civil War enlistment and discharge papers and even muster for pay. The Battles of Antietam and Gettysburg will be used to examine the world of Civil War battle. The role of local units will be closely examined. RFK Summer Camp Series 3 - Week I - RFK Stadium
D.C. Uniteds RFK Summer Camp Series is specifically designed for players aged 5-16. Campers will be exposed to a different set of technical and tactical focuses each day of camp. Coaches will work with players to develop their technical ability as well as discover a better understanding of the game in a fun and energetic environment. All participants will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a D.C. United regular season home match and discount offers on United ticket packages. This class will consist of daily bike rides to different places to participate in a variety of sporting activities such as visiting local parks and playing soccer, frisbee golf, and organized games. Biking helps both aerobic conditioning and muscle strength. Students must bring a bike, helmet, water bottle, snack and sunscreen.
