Included are music lessons, a tee shirt decorating arts and craft session, a barbecue chicken dinner, a guest musical concert and a Sunday afternoon concert showcasing the children’s new/renewed accomplishments. Instructors are experienced musicians who give their time and positive energy to ensure that this event continues to enrich the lives of our young people. Kid's Camp Paint "Santa is Coming to Town" - Boulder, CO
Kid’s Camp at Posh is a wonderful and creative activity for the kids while they are off school for break! 10am-1pm…Ages 4 and up! $24.00 for 3 hours includes a painting class with step by step instruction through the painting of the day, games, face painting, and more! Pizza lunch available for $6.00+tax additional or bring them lunch from home! Each child will leave with a piece of artwork that is uniquely theirs! No experience, set-up, or clean up necessary! Each class is independent from the others so come to one or come to them all!
Youth Winter Camp - New Haven, MI
Haven Place will be doing a FREE Youth Winter Camp. Grades 6th thru 12th. This camp will be focusing on Community Service, Discipleship, We will be having youth grades 6 to 12 stay overnight for three nights. We will be doing community service hours on Friday and Saturday. We will be taking the youth to serve senior citizens in the surrounding area. The youth will be making gifts to bring to the elderly. The youth will also be disciples through a program through D-Now Studies called "The Pause" this discipleship course is four sessions and it will equip youth to learn how to seek God in a never ending multitasking environment. They will each receive a student book and t-shirt. We will be having a New Years Eve party for them. Live band and student mentors will be with them during the camp. Weather permitting we will be shoveling snow and going to sledding hills to pass out free hot cocoa and the gospel message. Possibly do "laundry Love" where we go into a local laundry mat and pay for everyones laundry to be done and more!! During this week-long camp beginners and experienced players alike will work on every aspect of womens lacrosse. Brookwood alum Sarah Freeman will lead the girls in stick handling, teamwork, attacking and defensive footwork activities each morning. Campers will improve their lacrosse skills in game-like situations preparing them for the next season all while growing a deeper love for the game! 978 525 6244

As of 10/26, this session is SOLD OUT. Sign up for Track 1 Session 4 soon! Elementary Engineers Theres nothing truly elementary about the engineering skills that these future builders will acquire – not to mention honing their problem solving skills. It all begins with using KNEX to create our simple machines. Future engineers will learn to problem solve as they build a variety of amazing simple mechanisms as well as be encouraged to build their own discoveries. The possibilities are endless! Call it physics! Call it STEM! This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.The Arroyo Seco Adventure Camp offers opportunities to learn about our local, natural resources in a fun and exciting way. Now in its third year, this innovative camp pairs environmental education with traditional camp activities. Based in Brookside Park with regular activities in the lower Arroyo, this is an outdoor camp. The first week of camp focuses on origins of the Arroyo Seco and the geological events that created this amazing space. Other weeks focus on plants of the Arroyo, local animals and myths, protecting and exploring nature and survival skills. Conservation specialisits lead daily nature walks and instruct on conservation of environmental resources, native plants and local wildlife. Other activities include casting pond fly-fishing, archery, horseback riding, hiking, environmental education lessons, swimming, art and group games. Campers go on a weekly environmental themed field trip. In previous years, trips included kayaking, nature centers and local farms. Staff ratio is 1 to 10. Shakespeare in Performance - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This class is designed for 5th-9th grade students. Why Shakespeare? Why not! The stories are compelling and exciting. The characters thrilling and interesting. In the play well be working on this winter, they are also very comical! A Midsummer Nights Dream may be 450 years old, but its as funny today as when it was first performed in 1605. Under the guidance of Heather Sanderson, participants will present an abridged version of the play for a main stage presentation at the Annual LTA Showcase (April 1st & 2nd). During the course of the session, youngsters will learn acting methods naturally through a variety of theatre games, improvisation exercises and practical performance. INSTRUCTOR HEATHER SANDERSON studied classical theatre at RADA in London and prior to moving to Alexandria acted extensively in the San Francisco Bay Area. As "Miss Heather", she is known locally for instilling a love of theatre - in particular Shakespeare - into the hearts of children. Her youth Shakespeare troupes have performed in D.C. and in the U.K. and her privately coached monologue students have performed at the Shakespeare Theatre, the Fords Theatre and numerous community and childrens theatres in the area.
