In this 2 week class series kids will learn the art of film making. The class will work together to take a short script, break it down, cast, schedule and film it. Students will work with Industry professionals and be assigned specific roles/departments. Upon completion, the footage will be handed off to the Editing Class and once completed thru post, each child will get a downloadable link of their final completed movie to share with Family & Friends.

2016 Basic Sports Medicine Camp - Athletic Training Center
By popular demand, Stanford University Sports Medicine will be opening its doors again to expose its unique methods of medical care for the nations most elite athletes. The programs expert level clinicians will provide hands-on instruction of topics from the very basics of sports medicine care to the integration of cutting edge approaches to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athletic performance. The program includes: Anatomy and Musculoskeletal Injury Emergency Preparedness Injury and Illness Prevention Movement and Performance Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, see firsthand how advanced technologies positively impact injury recovery and training. Recommended for high school students interested in sports medicine or a career in athletic training. Specifically for those with no experience in Sports Medicine and students who have not taken a sports medicine class. Students are sure to have a blast playing daily improvisational games. After learning some basic acting skills, they will get hands-on experience developing a character. They will also be able to try their hands at many of the various aspects of theatre, including directing, stagecraft, costume design, stage make-up, playwriting, and… stage combat! Research has shown that children who participate in Drama/Acting activities improve their ability to react and respond to imaginary situations and feelings and eventually generalize these skills into their daily living.
