Explore the Majesty of Costa Ricas Jungle Animals & Learn Spanish Campers explore the dynamic jungle of Costa Rica. The colorful and intriguing animals are extraordinary and will magically ‘transport campers to the ‘jungle where it is super fun to speak Spanish. During this week campers get to build a large scale ‘time travel machine out of recyclable materials. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports, and discover the joys of learning Spanish through various activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, verbs, nouns, adjectives all about these animals and their unique features. CELEBRATION DAY: WEDNESDAY (always optional)- Go Wild Day Come to camp dressed in your favorite animal prints or animal tees. During camp choice time choose your favorite wild animal look for our special face paint activity! Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. Week 6 (Grades 4 - 8) - Cal State East Bay
The week long day camp offers a wide variety of sports and activities for campers to participate in. Activities included are: basketball, swimming, soccer, volleyball, tennis, ping pong, kick ball, arts and crafts, and others. All activities take place on the beautiful Hayward campus of Cal State East Bay. A daily lunch is provided and if there are any dietary needs just let us know and we can accommodate your camper. The only equipment that your camper will need to bring are: swim suit, towel, goggles (if preferred), snacks, and shoes to be active in (sandals are highly discouraged). A summer program offered in partnership with the O. Henry Museum... We invite young readers to explore a fantastic novel, take it apart, play around in its pages, admire its sentences and characters and questions, and create new work based on the novel. This workshop is led by a Badgerdog teaching artist (professional writer), and Book Crushers will showcase their work for parents on the final day. In previous years we crushed on Wonder by R.J.
