From Saturday Night Live, to Second City, to classic TV comedy shows such as Carol Burnett and films such as Monty Python, comedy sketch has always been an important form of acting. Saturday Theater will present a series of classic comedy scenes featuring these classics. We will present infamous sketches from Carol Burnetts comedy show such as the Gone with the Breeze scene, As the Stomach Turns soap opera as well as Old Folks. We will do spoofs on famous TV shows such as Gypardy with Alex Payback, Star Schmeck with Schlock, Scooty, & Captain Quirk, Lifestyles of the Drab and Ridiculous. Other sketches include Lisa & Leonardo, Barbie and Ken break-up, & the Ninja Sisters and more. Arts in the Park - Norwood Local Park
You will create lots of cool artwork inspired by the great outdoors in this beautiful setting. Artwork may include paper mache, mobiles, sculptures from natural and recycled materials, mosaics, painting in the style of famous artists, collage and lots more! Grades 1-6 Whether your camper has played for a few seasons or is just starting out, this camp is the one to choose! Each day campers work on basic to advanced baseball skills and play a game, too! Participants learn in a safe, structured environment, have fun and gain confidence playing baseball. Daily hitting, fielding, pitching and outfield stations are featured as well as daily trivia contests and prizes for everyone! Campers receive a written evaluation on their skills. Elem Aftercare Week 4 - Merrill Engineering Building
We are going to offer a limited aftercare program from 3 until 5:30. This will largely not be computer related, but more about enjoying some of the University of Utah campus - doing activities like bowling or games on the open spaces. I know this does not solve the problem for those enrolled in the Beginning Scratch camp ending at 11:45AM. Sorry. We will distribute a daily schedule so that you can pickup early if needed. Arts in the Park - Norwood Local Park
You will create lots of cool artwork inspired by the great outdoors in this beautiful setting. Artwork may include paper mache, mobiles, sculptures from natural and recycled materials, mosaics, painting in the style of famous artists, collage and lots more! Play lots of games, sports and explore the park. On Wed campers walk to the Bethesda pool adjacent to the park. Campers must pass a swimming test or stay in the shallow end. Bring a bag lunch. There will be a $25 dollar material fee due the first day. Baseball Camp - Grades 1-6 - Allmendinger Park
Grades 1-6 Whether your camper has played for a few seasons or is just starting out, this camp is the one to choose! Each day campers work on basic to advanced baseball skills and play a game, too! Participants learn in a safe, structured environment, have fun and gain confidence playing baseball. Daily hitting, fielding, pitching and outfield stations are featured as well as daily trivia contests and prizes for everyone! Campers receive a written evaluation on their skills. Campers should bring mitts, bats, snack, sunscreen and water bottles marked with their name. Coaches: GVP Sports staff. Monday-Friday -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camp will meet in the rain, shelter available for severe weather. Camp uses reduced impact balls for camp. Please bring your own batting helmet if needed.
