Rutgers 2016 Design Intensive - Civic Square Building
Rutgers 2016 Design Intensive Website: This program seeks to develop the graphic design skills of motivated high school artists. Created and supervised by Mason Gross faculty, the curriculum focuses on core principles of design while introducing relevant software. Participants will become familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign while exploring visual problems and producing work suitable for a college admissions portfolio. The Design Intensive includes studio work, technical demonstrations, group critiques, and a field trip to New York City to visit working design studios. Primary emphasis is placed on building visual awareness, and on making software serve the designers vision. Tell Your Story- Comic Style! - Valle Verde Elementary
Classroom: B-7 Instructor: Sabine Kroeber Every child has a story to tell – and what better way than to tell it with their own comic! Students will learn how to design their own cartoon characters on the computer and bring them to life using posing and emotion controls. The use of background, props, speech bubbles and props will be discussed. We will take photos at Valle Verde and import them to create a comic happening at our school!
