Storybook Art Camp - Northwest Art Center
Age Range: 7 and up Description: Young authors and artists will have fun writing, illustrating and creating their very own story book! Through the beautiful art of watercolors combined with watercolor pencils, children will express their creative ideas to write their own story, design their own characters and paint backgrounds to illustrate their very own storybook! Summer Remediation 2016 - Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School
Students who earned D or F grades in either semester of the 2015-2016 school year may be required to remediate those grades in order to move to the next course in the sequence, receive graduation units, and/or remain eligible for college admissions. SJND offers summer remediation on campus through online course providers in a supervised learning environment. Students have the option to work with academic content tutors and receive personalized attention and course management from the Summer Academics Coordinator and staff. For those who need to take a second remediation course, we strongly recommend finishing one before starting the second. Technique Camp - Ramada Inn State College
Grades 7-12 PERSONALIZED TECHNIQUE CAMP (Tech) 4 Day Option The Personalized Technique Camp is specifically designed for junior and senior high wrestlers with little to moderate experience. Our technique curriculum is carefully structured to present the most effective scoring techniques from all three positions in a systematic fashion to maximize retention. Techniques will be shown in a progressive sequence to promote learning and understanding of what works at all levels of competition. The wrestlers will have a designated coordinator from our Gold Medal Staff who will monitor each instructional session to review and expand upon the curriculum with each student. The wrestlers will be divided by age and experience as needed so that each wrestler is able to focus on the technical skills and tactics that they most need to improve upon. The base curriculum as designed by Coach Chertow will be comprised of the highest percentage techniques in wrestling, and they will be presented in a systematic fashion with emphasis on the finer teaching points. In addition to not only learning, but retaining a highly effective system of wrestling, Personalized Technique Camp Students will get to choose specific areas in which to receive advanced instruction. Up-Cycled Art - Bridget Mayak & Cheryl Capezzuti - Touchstone Center for Crafts
Explore innovative ways to incorporate common household materials, found objects, and recyclables into fantastic art! We will focus on the processes as well as the products of creating both two- and three-dimensional pieces of art. Part of everyday will be spent making puppets out of recycled materials and producing a short performance at the end of the week. This promises to be a very busy and creative week!
