Instructors: Finan & Cusick Get ready to build, invent and reinvent in our Innovation Lab. You will learn how the art of tinkering brings STEM projects to a whole new level of fun and inspiration. Whether you are a girl or a boy, into science, art, building or being creative in any way, this is the class for you. You will look at existing inventions with an eye for how you can improve them or invent something else altogether. You will have the option of choosing from projects such as: Fuse-your-own Fabrics, Slingshot Car Launcher, Wood-Crafted Wonders, Toppling Towers, Remote Release Zip Line Alarm Clock and that is just to name a few. FCYD Camp is proof positive that being diagnosed with diabetes means you have to live a sheltered life. We tried to tell that to our daughter all the time but she never really embraced the idea until she found herself surrounded by kids in her same situation. Teens ages 13-17 will work with Ignites’ experienced instructors to learn the arts of Glass Blowing, Solid Sculpting, and Flameworking. No prior glass experience necessary. Each student will create at least 3 finished glass projects, blown and/or solid during the session. $350 per person

Players are taught aspects of the game in a fast-paced, exciting and challenging environment using the Coerver Method, the worldӳ leading soccer teaching method: Ball Mastery: Exercises where each player must work alone with a ball, High repetitions using both feet. Receiving and Passing: Exercises to improve a players first touch, encourage and teach accurate creative passing. Moves (1v1): Exercises and games that teach game winning individual moves that can create space in packed defenses. Speed: Exercises and games that improve acceleration, running with and without the ball and changes of pace. Would your children benefit from an early introduction to the upcoming middle school curriculum? Then the Amp Camp is just what they need. The Amp Camp, led by SCDS Middle School Learning Specialist, Mr. Benjamin Ford, will help set your child up for success. During Amp Camp 6th, 7th, and 8th grade campers will learn how to implement specialized study strategies to help them be more confident and better prepared for middle school. Each student will gain insight on how to be more organized and thoughtful about their study habits while also getting a jump start on the best way to engage challenging concepts and content. Amp Camp is a great way to help students prepare for their re-entry to school. Amp Camp is open to SCDS and non-SCDS students. Reading Rockets is a program designed to be an early intervention for students going into first, second, or third grades. The goal of this program is to provide additional support for students who could benefit from reinforcement in reading skills over the summer.
