1st-5th Grade Program : Headed to the White House - The Philadelphia School
We will visit the National Constitution Center for a special, opening day tour of the traveling exhibit, Headed to the White House. The new exhibit is designed to take visitors from the campaign trail to Inauguration Day, as it explores all aspects of a U.S. presidential election through a variety of media including role-playing opportunities, artifact exploration and more. The multi-faceted experience gives visitors both the opportunity to learn about past candidates in iconic historical elections and to also become a candidate themselves in a simulated presidential election experience. A tasty, mid-morning snack will be served. Upon our return to TPS, students will have the opportunity to design their own campaign button. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. Students are required to wear a red t-shirt on all trips. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20. Week 4 AM - Animals Extreme - Wuskenau Beach
Animals come in all shapes and sizes. Enter the strange, but true realm of symbiotic relationships, bizarre deep sea creatures, arthropods, colonial organisms, and animals living in other extreme habitats. Research and go into the field to look for some the strangest creatures on our planet. Use microscopes, look at preserved and live specimens, and dissect a strange fish. Mini Kaleidoscope - AM Session 10 - Veterans Memorial - Recreation Center
Mini Kaleidoscope campers...get ready for some fun!!! Campers will explore the thrill and fascination of exploring the world around them. Children will enjoy arts & crafts, games, camp songs, special events, and more. Activities for each week will be focused around a special theme. A weekly schedule will be distributed to each camper on the first day of each session. Morning or full day sessions are available. Children should bring a bag lunch every day unless otherwise noted on the session schedule. Cost includes Camp T-shirt and all supplies. Participants must have Health Information Form on file PRIOR to participation in camp. Extended care available. We are now accepting children 3 1/2-5 years old (Children born on or before December 15, 2011 through entering Kindergarten). Birth certificate required when signing up for the program. All children must be potty trained, no exceptions. Enrollment for each camp session closes the Saturday prior to the upcoming weekly camp session. A $20 late fee will be charged for those who need camp on the Monday of each camp session.
