Badgerdog Book Crush - O. Henry Museum
A summer program offered in partnership with the O. Henry Museum... We invite young readers to explore a fantastic novel, take it apart, play around in its pages, admire its sentences and characters and questions, and create new work based on the novel. This workshop is led by a Badgerdog teaching artist (professional writer), and Book Crushers will showcase their work for parents on the final day. In previous years we crushed on Wonder by R.J. Palacio and The Turtle of Oman by Naomi Shihab Nye. Well announce this years title as soon as possible. 512-542-0076

Music & Drama Camp - Camp Moses Merrill
Music and Drama Camp is packed full of all the regular camp stuff, but we throw in some music, acting and performing. Campers are given the opportunity to use their God given talents, learn to perform in front of a live audience, and have A LOT of fun along the way. There will be a Friday performance for family and friends. Yes, there will still be time for swimming, campfires, learning about the love of Christ and so much more! Bring a friend! Session 5: Rube Goldberg Machines Week! - Explorers - The Hitchcock Center for the Environment
CAMP Rube Goldberg is back by popular demand in the summer of 2016! Youll love this camp if you love watching energy flow from one thing to another, like in marble runs, water walls and falling dominoes! We will spend this camp session collaborating and building Rube Goldberg machines – contraptions that perform a simple task in the most complicated way possible. In both individual and group settings, campers will get to experiment with everyday objects to create Rube Goldberg machines and complete challenges. While this session has a physical science focus, we will still hike outside and play active running games each day. 4132566006.0

Young Hope Basketball Academy 2016 - PepsiCo Recreation Center
Jamie Young, an assistant for the 17-Time NBA Champion Boston Celtics, will host his 3rd annual youth basketball academy to support the Erika Kate Hope Alliance. He will be joined by an experienced staff of girls and boys basketball coaches from across the country. All proceeds will help ease the emotional, spiritual, and financial burdens borne by parents of children with life threatening heart conditions. Film-Visual Arts - Amador Elementary School
FINE ARTS ARTISTIC EXPLORATION - NO LUGGAGE REQUIRED Students will analyze the role and development of the visual arts in past and present cultures throughout the world, noting human diversity as it relates to the visual arts and artists. While participating in mini projects inspired by artists, students will have the practical opportunity to develop character by working together applying their learning for the common good of their school, local, and/or global community with a service learning project. Students will perceive and respond to works of art, objects in nature, events, and the environment. Students will describe how artists can show the same theme by using different media and styles. The culminating wearable art project will center around common class selected themes demonstrating human diversity as it relates to visual arts. DIGITAL PROJECTS FROM CONCEPTION TO PROJECTION INVENTIONS Budding entrepreneurs will be provided with problem-solving opportunities to explore the inventor that is within their imagination. Students will work independently and collaboratively to apply their creativity to solve problems that include interactive physics applications.
