Become a safer, more confident, and experienced cyclist. Explore the paths in Vasona Park and along Los Gatos Creek Trail from end to end. Take breaks to investigate life along the creek. Practice and improve your bike skills, such as panic stops, avoiding obstacles and navigating steep grades. Learn how make sure that your bike is in good working order and complete some basic repairs. Experiment with gears, examine the inner workings of bicycles, and learn some biking physics. Look at different kinds of bikes and see what they are designed to do best. Participants must bring their own helmet, two-wheel bicycle with gears and be comfortable riding up and down hills. Folsom Teen Bible Boot Camp 2016 - Folsom, CA
The church of Christ in Folsom, California will be hosting a free Bible study for teenagers and college students during the weekend of April 15-17, 2016. We usually hold this annual Bible study on the third weekend in April (except when Easter falls on that weekend, and then another April weekend is selected). During this weekend, participants will attend a Friday night singing and a Bible study on Saturday morning and afternoon. The age group for visitors at this event is current high school students (9th to 12th grades) and college-aged young people. Participants are encouraged to come Friday night and stay through Sunday morning services at the Folsom church of Christ. Members of the church are willing to open their homes on Friday and Saturday for lodging, and overnight arrangements will be organized by grade level and gender. If you would like to attend, please complete the online registration form by Saturday, April 9th at: http://folsom.cierecloud.com/forum/about/ or on the Folsom congregation’s website. They will learn about levers, pulleys, axels, wheels, and gears through activates designed to challenge the young engineer. Enjoy four days of fast-paced training in the worlds most popular sport, soccer. Join BYU womens soccer head coach Jennifer Rockwood and BYU mens soccer head coach Chris Watkins for an exciting experience to refine your soccer skills while increasing your technical and tactical knowledge of the game. Participate in demanding training sessions, small-sided games and plenty of team scrimmages. BYU soccer camps are available for all levels of soccer players, from those just beginning competition to those who have had a high level of experience (premier club level and ODP). Many campers also attend to showcase their abilities in the hopes of someday earning a spot on a BYU soccer team roster. Camps not only will help you improve your overall knowledge of the game, but also will prove to be a valuable scouting and recruiting tool for the head coaches. All four weeks of camp are structured identically, where participants are grouped together by age, ability and gender. Goalkeepers are also welcome and will have keeper training sessions under the direction of BYU goalkeeper coaches/players.
