By now it’s fairly common knowledge that poor posture can lead to sore muscles, respiratory difficulties, nerve constrictions, permanent spinal curvature, and spinal misalignment, but how does posture affect performance? Even the slightest change in how and when certain muscles are used can improve the quality of your performance in daily activity or in athletics. Attend this half camp to understand where you can improve and how to do it! Join us for a special event just for teens out at Camp Sealth! In this special Amazing Race Edition, teens will embark on a two-day race around Camp Sealth facing challenges in their small team units. Choose a team name and create a team cheer to let others know you’ve got the spirit! Activities will include classic camp favorites with an “amazing” twist – archery, crafts, challenge course activities, relay races, skits, sports, trivia, and more! In the evening, your team will check in for a pit stop featuring a relaxing evening of tasty dinner and treats, games, and feature presentations, and awake on Sunday for a final team challenge before heading home.

Think you can do it? Youve got a minute to complete the crazy challenges using exciting Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO models & every day household items! Each day offers new models and challenges as teams compete for the title of "Minute to Win It-Bricks 4 Kidz Style" Champions Day five features camper-created challenges to be played out by fellow competitors. Express yourself! with Nelli Shevelkina Become an artist for a week in our art studios – dive into extreme sketching, painting, collage and sculpting. Work with different art media and learn how to create some art materials from scratch. Enhance drawing and painting skills by working on projects from observation. Discover and discuss masterworks. Experiment with many media choices and ideas from your imaginations. Projects include portraits, figures, sketching architecture and landscape outdoors, creating mini murals, collage, and 3-D multi media fabrications. Note: Includes a field trip to the Yale Art Gallery to view artwork and learn about several art media and techniques. Fun with Metal with Connie Pfeiffer Make jewelry and mini-sculpture with copper sheet metal and wire to wear or hang. Stamp, fold, hammer, bend, cut, twist and even heat metal to create pendants, medallions and forms from nature such as pea pods and leaves. Students will explore using basic hand tools, especially hammers, mallets, cutters, files, pliers and torches (one-on-one with instructor) to create works in metal.
