Youth Leaders "Thanksgiving" Fellowship and Business Session - Springf
Hosted this month by Camp Barnabas, providing us a FREE lunch at their office location in Springfield! Leaders will have the opportunity to "connect" with other youth leaders in ministry, and to share ideas and resources! Bring printed material on events you would like to promote to share with the group. You will hear about some great opportunities for ministry through this camp for special needs students. This will also be our "elections" business session at 11:15 prior to lunch. All voting members are encouraged to be present. Also, those who want may join the Coordinator to be praying for our campuses, students, and leaders about 30 min. prior to the start. Final Summer 2016 Kid's Riding Camp - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our last riding camp of the summer for children ages 3 - 18. Camps are half days, and kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen and enclosed outdoor arena. Kid's are outside getting exercise in the sunshine and fresh air, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence. What could be better? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, horseman and natural horsemanship clinician with 35+years experience as a professional horse and people trainer, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equpment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Siblings may share helmets as needed. This is a TENTATIVE event page to see who would be interested in heading to Goddard Youth Camp for a weekend in June 2016. Please invite everyone that you know who has attended "Camp Goddard" through South MacArthur Church of Christ to like this event and the Facebook page. This Reunion will be open to all ages and families are encouraged to come together! There is enough cabin space for 210 people. Cabin spaces will be available in groups of 10 on a first come, first served basis. Restrictions: Older couples or those with major medical issues will be given cabin preference if they would prefer not to sleep in tents/RV's. Camping with tents/RV's will be a slightly cheaper option than cabins because we may be expecting more than 210 people. This camp uses famous artists and illustrators as inspiration for creating artistic masterpieces. Campers will enjoy learning about artists such as Renoir, Degas, van Gogh, OKeeffe, and Picasso before creating their own impressionist paintings, clay sculptures, self-portraits, large flower paintings, and cubist compositions. We will also examine works of childrens book illustrators and create collages and paintings in their styles. Inspired Artists will be led by Brookwood Schools after-school instructor extraordinaire, Marleen Wood.
