4-H Teen Summit - Session 3 - Nancy, KY
Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. Many exciting details are still falling into place, but some very important ones are already set: - Our worship band for the whole week is The Hardcastles, our camp worship band for the last two years at Camp Eagle. - Our speaker is former hockey player, youth evangelist and long time youth pastor, Shawn Roberts, who has spoken to thousands upon thousand of students and seen thousands come to know Christ. - Activities we know we'll have: river tubing, swimming, gaga ball, ulimate, football, hiking, square dancing, bow and arrow tag, airsoft, bonfires, small group talks, team challenges, camp challenges... - Best of all, we'll be serivng the community and the camp throughout the week doing service project. - So many more things to come, shirts, journals, themed meals and more...we'll keep you updated as things move. Outdoors Camps - Wildlife Camp - Pearson Arastradero Preserve
We?re getting wild at Arastradero Park this summer with a camp that?s full of adventure and fun in the great outdoors. Well be hiking daily, tracking animals, investigating botanicals, and reliving life styles of the past. Post Camp is available (see our Post Camp section). Sorry, no Pre-Camp is available for this camp. Activities are the same each week during the summer. Camp projects change from year to year, but we do repeat many favorite projects. Use the grade your child JUST COMPLETED in the spring as his/her grade for camp registration. Boating Safety Course - LCMM Campus: Vergennes/Basin Harbor
Learning boating safety is so much more than studying and taking a test, it is the basics of good seamanship. LCMMs boating safety course is an intense overview of boating skills including paddling, rowing, sailing and powerboat operations. Well learn everything from docking techniques to man overboard exercises. The "Boys of Summer" Competition Camp - Roadrunner Baseball Field
Check In & Late Registration: 2:00-3:00 PM at Roadrunner Field, Camp Hours 3-9 PM Limit: 60 Purpose: 1) Evaluation Section run by qualified staff. Evaluation will include: Height, Weight, 40 yard dash, arm strength & bat speed tested on radar gun, agility & quickness. Scores will be given to each individual at the end of camp. 2) Divide campers into teams and play games at the UTSA Baseball & Softball fields. We will provide a game experience.
