The Charlottesville Waldorf Schools Summergarden has been designed to bring your children the rhythmical structure of a Waldorf Kindergarten that allows the imagination to unfold in free play, games, crafts and a variety of artistic activities. Each day will start in the cool of the morning in our beautifully landscaped outdoor play area, where sand, water, and swings are readily available. Everyone will have the opportunity to work in one of the school gardens. As the temperature rises, the children will move to our carefully designed and air-conditioned classrooms. Coats for Kids 2015 Campaign
Join us as we collect NEW Coats for Kids and cover the end zone of Joan C. Edwards Football Stadium! We will be collecting coats all through the months of October and November. Drop your NEW coat off today, at the designated Goodwill locations (Virginia Avenue, 9th Avenue, Lavalette, Milton & Barboursville) or at the Marshall home games on 10/24 and 11/14. Donate a NEW coat for the campaign and be entered in a drawing for: 4 chairback seats to the Marshall vs. FIU game on 11/14 & an on-field experience at the game. Faith's Winter Madness Auditioning Camp for Youth - Albuquerque, NM
SHARE WITH OTHERS Dear Parents: The kids are out of school and you are wondering what to do with them while you shop? Join Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA casting director as she hosts her funnest and most informative kids auditioning camp ever! Your child (ages 8 to 16) will enjoy an entire day of educational games and audition lessons and fun! They will have so much fun with the holiday themed "party" they won't even catch on to the fact they are learning. They will work with holiday themed commercials as well as holiday themed film scripts, compete in fun and festive competitions, create projects, and enjoy a good old fashioned pizza lunch. $150/$140 if registered and paid for by December 1st 2015. December 21st 2015 9 AM to 4 PM Held at Sol Acting Academy in ABQ, NM Taught by Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA casting director who has been casting for 16+ years! BSDK Sum camp wk 9 Full DAY CAMPER - Baseball Stadium at Devon and Kedzie
LPBA is pleased to announce that we have added a third baseball camp to our summer camp program. This exciting new venue will feature two fields at the former Thillens Stadium, now Baseball Stadium at Devon and Kedzie BSDKS two fields will allow us to divide the campers by age and skill level. We will use field #1 for boys and girls ages 5-7 and field #2 for boys and girls ages 8-13. The camp experience includes a daily exercise and agility training routine followed by instructive drills including base running, pitching, defense, bunting, outfield play, infield play, batting practice and other hitting drills. Camps will be held at BSDK 6404 N. Kedzie and will be conducted by LPBAs professional staff. Guest MLB instructors, past and present major league players, coaches and scouts will be on hand throughout the summer to conduct all-inclusive camp sessions. Camper to coach ratio is 7:1. LPBAs summer camp programs run Monday-Thursday from June 8 though August 28, 2015: Half day sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – $175 per week Full day sessions from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – $250 per week Camp registration is on a weekly basis. Canvas Painting (AGES 5-7 for the PM) Explore the colorful world of paint with teaching artist Deron Cohen (www.deroncohen.com). We will be making at least two paintings over these 5 days. Through step-by-step instruction and demonstration, students will learn how to break down an image into its most basic shapes and transfer those shapes onto the canvas. We will also explore the Imagination as students are guided through a creative process that encourages experimentation while also re-enforcing all of the previous techniques and skills developed. Time permitting, students will be encouraged to make another painting incorporating all the techniques learned throughout the week.
