This program is for children in grades 1-4th and all skill levels. The philosophy behind the program is to teach basic skills and fundamentals, develop athletic skills, make new friends, and most importantly have fun! The program stresses good sportsmanship at all times. All equipment will be provided. This is a good program to put your child in if theyre baseball, football, basketball, and/or hockey players. Many of the physical skills worked on during the camp will crossover to those sports. All equipment is provided. Games and Science Camp - Camp Talahi
GAS Camp is for all of the kids who just cant get enough of games, sports and science. We will be playing games such as ultimate Frisbee, Handball, Splashball (similar to water polo), along with old favorites like soccer, basketball and volleyball. When our bodies need a rest we will use our minds to create simple machines and science experiments! Designed for campers who have completed grades 5-8. GAS Camp will run concurrently with MADD Camp. Designed for high school players and aspiring high school players, this hour-and-a-half drop-in clinic combines 45 minutes of drills and instruction with 45 minutes of head-to-head competition. Students will create artworks inspired by the techniques and ideas of famous illustrators, painters and writers. We will study the works of Maurice Sendak, Hokusai, Frida Kahlo, Dr.Seuss, Kandinsky, Shel Silverstein, Mary Blair and more. Students will explore many materials and art techniques such as ink, textile art, collage, watercolor, colored pencil, stamping, and mixed media. All skill levels welcome. Materials are included.
