Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy summer camps as well as anyone else does. My 10 year old son is intellectually delayed. He looks forward to this camp every summer. In fact, he keeps asking us how many days until camp? He likes to swim, make crafts, sing and learn new skills at summer camp. Emoji Teen Camp is created for Ages 13-18 during the school break! Join us Thursday, February 18th 1-3pm at the studio! **This is a parent drop off event! ** You may drop your child off at 1pm and pick them up at 3pm! - Cost: $30 per teen includes (2) 12x12 canvases each to create any emoji's or paintings of choice. Each child will learn paint mixing techniques, outlining, shading and much more all while meeting new friends! - Reservations: We will limit this event to 16 teens. Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. Youth Softball & Baseball Fundamentals Camp by Josh Newman - South Web
Instructor : Josh Newman currently the Assistant Baseball Coach for Marshall University and formerly with the Colorado Rockies and the KC Royals. This camp is open to all boys and girls, ages 7-12 in all school districts. Josh will be covering the fundamentals of the game for softball and baseball. Advance Registration and payment must be received no later than June 6th to guarantee a spot at camp and a tshirt. *Early Registration is $35 per athlete and must be received by June 1st and includes lunch and a tshirt. *after June 1st Group registration of 10 or more players for $45 per player and $40 for siblings. Each group of 10 will receive the 11th player free. We request that your 11th player be need based. Individual Registration fees are $50 for the first child and $40 for each additional child in the same family. Please make checks payable to South Webster Little League. Tryon Creek is full of feathered friends. Some are bright, some eat insects, and some you can barely see! Campers will meet Audubon Society raptor, and discover what summer time birds live in the park. Secret Agent - Polygon Mission Grade 3 (Monday) - Janney Elementary School
American University student teachers are looking for enthusiastic third graders who like challenges, mysteries, and problem solving missions. As part of an American University research project, School of Education professors have partnered with Janney Elementary School to test enduring understanding in reading as well as in mathematics in third grade students. During the sessions, third grade students will participate alongside our friends Poly and Gon in enriching activities and games in which they will be challenged to think outside the box by practicing problem solving and pattern identification skills. All lessons, activities, and games will be created and directed by American University student teachers for Janney third graders. This two night, three day backpacking trip will provide campers an opportunity to challenge themselves and enjoy the beauty and serenity of being out in the wilderness. Campers will learn how to prepare and pack for a backpacking trip, the 6 Ws of preparing for any outdoor trip, map reading and leave no trace principles.
