Students who will be in the 9th or greater in the fall of 2016 are eligible to attend. Our high school camps are designed to give each individual athlete a solid foundation in the basic football fundamentals needed to excel at his specific position. LSU Head Football Coach Les Miles directs this program with assistance from his staff and guest coaches. This means you will receive the same expert coaching that every LSU player receives. The event will be held at Mercy Hospital Conference Center on New Ballas Road. Doors open at 6:00pm, and trivia begins promptly at 7:00pm. Prizes will be awarded to the winning table. There will also be raffles, games and attendance prizes! Cost is $200 for an 8-person table or $25 per person ($30 per person at the door). Interrogate the science behind the life of a pirate. Consider sediment densities to determine optimal treasure burial, coastal changes to maximize hiding areas, experiment with eye dominance to determine eye patch orientation, design a boat to withstand the high seas, and test biological make-up of items for high Vitamin C levels to prevent scurvy. Take a short sailing trip on a 23 foot Sonar to look into wind generation for guaranteed quick getaways. Includes: Sailing, boat trips, & snorkel adventures 860-535-9362
FATHER SON CAMP - Winthrop University
This years Father/Son campers will be treated to instruction from the Winthrop coaches, staff, along with current and former Winthrop players through detailed skill work and competitions in the best facilities in college basketball. Father and son teams compete with fellow campers of appropriate age groups (based on sons age/grade level) in competitions that incorporate skills learned throughout the camp. The skill work is designed to give both father and son drills and techniques to take home and continue working together. The camp is open to all fathers and sons ages 6-17, regardless of basketball experience. 803-323-2129 x6244
Strider Push Bike Camp - Cottonwood Creek Park
This is where it all begins! Learning fun and balance as young as 2 years old, kids and families spend 45 minutes doing age appropriate games and skills in order to achieve proper balance and steering skills. Strider (push bike) camp is geared toward kids who are walking with their bikes, not fully sitting on the seat and not yet gliding or striding. But, it is also for those kids who are ready to learn how to turn, stop and maneuver obstacles. Parents will be hands on during this class.
