We got our parade rained on a little bit for the last camp, the weather turned quickly overnight on us when the storms weren't expected to show up until the afternoon. We will keep on eye on the report leading up to the event and make an announcement if necessary. Please spread the word!

After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Would you like to learn how to draw realistic animals? If your subject is wild, or domesticated, we will learn anatomical sketching, of any animal. Students will learn the pastel techniques for creating realistic fur, and feathers. Well explore placing the animal in a realistic landscape, or in a portrait-style background. Participants in this course will learn the "basics" of child care.
