Science Explorers Camp - Rockwood Park
A combination of Nature, Science, History and FUN. Explorers Camp takes full advantage of the 72 acres of woodland and paths that surround the Rockwood Museum. Mother Nature provides and ever-changing tableau for campers to hike and explore. Pan for gold in the creek and discover the ecosystem of the pond. The Victorian mansion is the perfect setting to absorb the evolution of the Industrial Age. Kids will have so much fun they won?t even know they are learning! Reading Camp for Grades K-5 - Slauson Middle School
Reading Dont let the summer pass you by without reading an exciting book! Using Readers Workshop research-based skills, campers learn and refine reading and comprehension skills. Children are assessed and instruction modified accordingly. Choose level books from our collection or bring your own favorite books. Our trained staff helps you read and understand the story, which increases your reading stamina. Children love to come into our reading space, that is set up for inviting activities! Our goals are to promote a positive attitude towards becoming a lifelong learner and help children gain confidence in their academic skills. MONDAY Winter/Spring 2016 AM Parent Toddler Group18-36 Months - All Saints Episcopal Church
Montessori Atrium Parent Toddler Group 18-36 Months The parent-toddler group meets once a week in the All Saints Montessori Toddler Atrium environment. Children accepted into the program are ages 18-36 months and must be accompanied by parent. Children need not be potty trained to be accepted into our program. Children explore activities of Practical Life, Sensorial and Language materials along with seasonal presentations of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd with the aid of a Montessori atrium guide. Parents observe and learn together with their children gaining insights into supporting their childs growth and development, nurturing the whole child. A Montessori book group, parenting support and exploration of creating a Montessori space in the home as an aid to the child are discussed. There are no refunds once the program begins. You will be assigned a cabin and team for the week, sign up for three achievements like archery, music, fishing, drama and more (15+ to choose from). Teen Camp 9-4pm wk 3 - Frankfort Park District
The Frankfort Park District would like to present Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp program for youth entering 7th ? 9th grade in the fall. This full day camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, water days, arts & crafts, and a field trip each week that a teen will enjoy. Special guests will be invited to this camp including sports, art and science instructors. Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp will be held at Commissioners Park, located at 22108 S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort, along with the use of Chelsea Middle School, which is located next to Commissioners Park. Drop off and pick up will take place at Chelsea Middle School, located at 22265S. 80th Ave. The camp will run from 9 ? 4pm, Monday thru Friday, with a before and after care option. Bring a bag pack, lunch and water bottle each day. Lunch may be included on certain field trip days. Registration must be done in person at our main office located at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. A copy of your child?s birth certificate will be required at the time of registration.
