Teen Empowerment & Survival Camp Summer 2016 - Tucson, AZ
This camp is designed specifically with teenagers’ safety and well-being in mind. As parents, we want our teenagers to be safe, but we also want them to grow up feeling comfortable with themselves, having a healthy self-esteem and self-image. This means equipping them with the skills and knowledge to assess and deal with both physically and psychologically threatening situations. Safety at school cannot be overstressed. Craft Fair & Flea Market- Benefits Youth Missions Camp & Leadership Re
Since the Dallas Harvest Festival has been cancelled, we have moved our annual Craft Fair fundraiser to that Saturday, (Sept. 19th) cause folks like YOU will be looking for something else to do. Additionally we will be expanding to include a Flea Market! Come shop at the Craft Fair for gifts, home decor, handcrafted jewelry, wood crafts, and more. This year's event includes a flea market, bake sale, and a chili cook-off. Bio: I have been at Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania since its inception in August of 2005. Teaching is my passion. It is exciting to see students learn and grow academically and gain social skills. I have enjoyed teaching 5th and 4th grade as a lead classroom teacher over the years. Middle School Survivor Camp - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
Survivor Camp is a challenging adventure camp that will develop outdoor living skills — specifically, build a raft to use on the pond, go mountain climbing at Pilot Mountain, learn knots and rope crafts and cooking over a fire. From Monday night to Thursday night survivor campers spend each night outside. Campers learn the leave no trace philosophy.
