The Stephens Session is a traditional camp experience for campers on the high end of the Autism spectrum or with mild developmental disabilities. Each camper in this session will have an individual counselor, and will stay in a cabin with 3 other campers and counselors. Campers will participate in all camp activities, including canoeing, games, arts and crafts, swimming, meals, and playing in the creek. Chicago Youth Centers’ Camp Rosenthal is excited to announce its first annual Women's Wellness Retreat April 29th - May 1st 2016. As 21st century women we are constantly juggling the responsibilities of family, work and school. We all deserve some time out for ourselves. Why not take some time to re-connect with yourself and enjoy the fellowship of womanhood at our beautiful camp in Southwestern Michigan. Our women’s only weekend retreat will give you an opportunity to relax in a beautiful and inviting environment, reconnect with your inner self through art, meditation and reflection and allow plenty of time to appreciate sisterhood and enjoy pampering yourself. The weekend package includes lodging, meals and a full program of women centered activities for an all-inclusive fee of $125 per person. Bring a friend and get $5 off the cost of the weekend. Investigate different kinds of animals from head to toe and from the inside out. Learn how snakes slither and eat without chewing. Study one of natures greatest predators and understand the unique features that allow owls to see small objects in the dark and look behind themselves. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to learn more about these and many other animal adaptations. Meet the YSI animal ambassadors and look for wild animals in the park to see how these adaptations help animals to survive in many different environments. 408-827-5507

Camp activities include: 1) Acting, voice & movement training with Jaclyn Loewenstein & Kat Downs 2) Development of solo and group performance skills 3) Daily rehearsals in a fun, non-competitive environment 4) Two performances (June 17 & 18) for friends, family and Class Act fans *Cast size is limited to 19, ensuring that all students will have featured roles, lines and solos (if desired).
