This is an opportunity for students to focus on the specific details of a texts word choice, structure, imagery, and symbolism, both as readers and as creative writers. Campers will have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of good ball striking and tee shots from lead instructor, Coach Pumford. Campers will utilize Trackman Golf Radar Systems along with V1 camera systems. Each camper will get an assessment of their game and a personalized improvement plan. Advanced Setters Camp - Rice University Tudor Fieldhouse
This camp is designed for setters that have experience and are looking to take their game to a higher level. Campers will work on the specifics of becoming a more advanced and consistent setter and will run drills designed to set them apart from their fellow competitors. Setters will get a lot of reps to help refine their skills they already have, and learn techniques necessary to set at a high level. Setters will work on jump setting, consistency, deceptive setting, attacking the second ball, and advanced transition drills. Learn how to speak the language of computers! Campers will dive into the exciting world of computer coding through Scratch, developed by MIT. Scratch is a block-based application designed to make it simple for anyone to learn programming. Throughout the camp, coders create projects like an epic space battle game or a "choose your own adventure" story! The possibilities to create are endless!
