This class is NOT TO BE MISSED by any dancer who is interested in improving their skill level. Concentrating on Smooth-Style Lindy (also referred to variously as Hollywood-Style, Dean Collins Style, and So-Cal Lindy), this class will improve your whips and swing-outs, help you develop floor-craft, work on styling, and emphasize lead-and-follow technique. Class will focus on drilling the Lindy Whip and the Push, concentrating on the concepts of weight sharing, counter balance, compression, syncopation, etc. First 30 minutes of class will be spent on working the basics with intense drilling; following 60 minutes will be spent exploring new challenges. TEENS AGE 14 - 17 Two-Week Improv Summer Camp Sessions! July 25 - August 5th AND August 8th - 19th The National Comedy Theatre is now registering for our annual Summer Improv Comedy Camp where we give our students the opportunity to explore the worlds of improv and sketch writing! Clark Youth Theatre Summer Camp Sign Ups - Tulsa, OK
Clark Youth Theatre will hold a series of summer Theatre Camps at the Henthorne Performing Arts Center. Enrollment begins Saturday, April 2nd at 8:30am. Each two-week camp includes classes on acting, dancing, and other performance skills. This is a great opportunity for children ages 8-14 who are interested in theatre and performing arts. Campers must have completed the second grade. The cost is $225 per session. The remaining dates for summer Theatre Camp are: Session 1: June 6-17 Session 2: June 20-July 1 Session 3: July 5-15 Session 4: July 18-29 Session 5: Aug 1-12 Classes are 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The camp also offers early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $25 fee. The HCA fine arts academy is geared toward those students who are serious about visual arts. Their day will include 2 sessions studio time with different teachers learning to work with acrylic, ceramics, watercolor, pastels and pencil drawing. The students will also work on a group activity each day and spend time outside. ALL ART SUPPLIES INCLUDED. Please bring a lunch, snack and water bottle each day. H20 Adventures - Beat the Heat - Rengstorff Park
Imagine a camp where youth can learn swimming techniques, enjoy free swim with friends, and then spend the rest of the day playing awesome high activity games and crafts. Now imagine that this dream actually exists. We bring your H2O Adventures. Along with traditional outdoor camp activities and games, each participant will receive 30 minutes of swim instruction (provided by aquatic staff) followed by 15 minutes of free swim each morning, except on field trip days. Participants should arrive wearing a bathing suit with a towel and pre-applied sunscreen (Mon-Thur) with active running clothes and shoes in a bag. Every Friday, we?ll be going on an exciting field trip. One t-shirt will be provided to each participant for the summer session. Depending on the week, breakfast and lunch may or may not be provided. When the sun is at its peak, it?s the shade we shall seek. We?ll be playing fun water games and activities all week long, because we know summer gets HOT. Farm Hands Camp is one of our most popular programs all year and we know why. Whether it is mucking out the stalls, collecting eggs, working in the garden or learning how to halter a sheep, there is never a dull moment on the farm! Although activities can vary depending on the day and age of the participants, we always try to instill the message that we are responsible for our own health, the health of our animals and for the care of this special place. Each day your child can expect to participate in chores in both the barnyard and garden. Of course, no Farm Hands experience would be complete without making new friends, games and nibbling fresh veggies fresh from the garden. We offer two types of programs. First, we have age specific programs. These sessions are a good fit for children that have attended camp year in and year out and like to have different age appropriate themes that build each year. They are also a great opportunity for children to meet other campers that are the same age and may be in school or other community programs with them.
