Open to all camp participants, summer extended care will provide the same top-notch service and activity as the rest of our programs, while offering additional flexibility for working families. Summer Extended Care times AM: 7:30–8:30 AM PM: 3:00–4:00 PM Both morning and afternoon extended care sessions are available, but no mid-day care is available. For example, a child registered for a half-day morning camp may register for AM extended care (7:30–8:30 AM), but must still be picked up at the completion of the camp half-day at 11:30 AM. In the same way, an afternoon half-day camper may register for PM extended care (3:00–4:00 pm). Extended care sessions must be registered as an entire week, not by single days. Summer Extended Care Cost $40 per week, per block (full day campers who wish to have both extended care blocks will be charged $75 per week) * Any camper not picked up within 15 minutes of their daily camp completion will be sent to extended care, and a $10 fee will be charged. WHEN IS THE CAMP? The camp will, Insha'Allah, be from Friday, August 7th - Sunday, August 9th. WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS. It is about 2 - 2.5 hours away from Kansas City. Transportation will be provided, Insha'Allah. (Please see details below.) WHO MAY ATTEND THE CAMP? Young youth boys and girls ages 11-18 only. WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP? The cost is $90 per child by July 24th midnight. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110/per child. Registration space is limited. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER? For the early registration discount, register by Friday, July 24th. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110 instead of $90. The last day to register is Friday, July 31st. Registration will close after July 31st or before if all spots have been filled. WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED FOR THE CAMP? Yes, as of now, we will have two departing locations: one from ISGKC and the other from ICK. In the registration form is where one can specify where they would like to depart from. noteBusters is a vocal performance program which uses music & singing to help children strengthen and nurture a positive self image. Children do not need to audition or have singing experience to join. Everyone in grades 1-5 are welcome. Children will learn musical favorites. All of their hard work will be showcased at a live performance free to family and friends on Sunday aftersnoon, June 5, in the WILSON HIGH SCHOOL auditorium. Sports Camp week 5- Basketball (ages 5-12) - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of basketball camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport including dribbling, passing (chest passes, bounce passes, and overhead passes), shooting (jump shots and full shots), and man to man defense. Agility and hand eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of basketball camp will focus on the basic rules such as traveling, double dribble, charging and blocking, as well as the duties of each position. Additionally modified games of basketball and cooperative games such as knock out, PIG, around the world and 21 will be played during the last hour. As the skills of each child advances, the third hour will consist of more realistic game like situations and a mini tournament based upon age group. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! BIZZY GIRLS CAMP - Ben Robertson Community Center
Do you have dreams of owning your own business and start a product line! From fashion to home décor, Bizzy Girls will help you create a product, write a mini business plan, name your company, create a logo, ad campaign and video advertisement. Learn about cost, profit and branding. Upon registration, girls will receive a link to many product ideas so they can choose a product before camp starts. Each product will have a small list of supplies to bring to camp, all under $20. At the end of the camp we hold a pop up store where the girls get to sell their products and keep their profits! This is educational and fun! Supplies: Campers should bring a packed lunch with a beverage, snacks and plenty of water each day. Attire: Summer active wear and athletic shoes. Football Camp-Future Stars Skills - Everett Recreation Center
For Rising 2-5th graders. The purpose of this camp is to provide basic fundamental instruction for all offensive and defensive positions relating to the game of football. Our goal is that each camper gains a better understanding of the football positions that they are interested in through various skills and drills. There will be a 20-minute break between the defensive and offensive instruction at which time snacks and drinks will be available to purchase. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Campers need to bring a water bottle, cleats, tennis shoes, and a bag to keep personal belongings in each day. Quarterbacks are encouraged to bring their own league regulation ball if they have one with their name on it. LOCATION Everett Athletic Complex at Everett Recreation Center
