Parents should always take the time to consider a camp’s facilities and features when selecting a program for their children. It is important to keep in mind advanced facilities as well as safety. The location of the camp is important. Some programs have pools whereas others have lakes. It is important to explore what makes each organization and its program different. Many camps will have photos and information about their camp’s features and facilities online. Taking a tour is another chance to see the facilities.

Teen Winter Art Camp: Positive Posters - Louisville, KY
With the New Year upon what better way to start it out than with a positive poster to hang in your home or community! Children can create their own quote for their poster or we will provide a variety for them to choose from. We will provide a variety of creative materials as well as a few inspiration pieces. Although we do teach technique we allow and encourage the voice of each individual child to shine through. In other words, no two paintings or sculptures will ever leave our studio looking the same. We value and honor the voice and creative spirt of each individual child and encourage them to find their own creative path. **Please remember to pack a healthy lunch and snack!
Teen Empowerment & Survival Camp Summer 2016 - Tucson, AZ
This camp is designed specifically with teenagers’ safety and well-being in mind. As parents, we want our teenagers to be safe, but we also want them to grow up feeling comfortable with themselves, having a healthy self-esteem and self-image. This means equipping them with the skills and knowledge to assess and deal with both physically and psychologically threatening situations. Safety at school cannot be overstressed. Since this where our teenagers spend a large majority of their day regularly, the probability of their being exposed to, or involved in, dangerous or unhealthy situations is extremely high. Whether it’s an outside threat that poses a danger to the entire school, or a fellow student whose words and actions are psychologically damaging to an individual, our teenagers should know how to assess and act before, during, and after an event. More importantly, though, our teenagers should feel comfortable and confident so that they do act. This is where education and training becomes invaluable. Returning Counselor Application - Center at Cathedral Ridge
The Counselors presence at camp is an integral part of the summer camp experience for everyone. Ideally, we are looking for dynamic individuals who share a passion for camp, a love of working and who are seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. It is important to keep in mind that this job in its simplest form is servant leadership. It is tiring, sometimes trying, and our focus as staff should not be on ourselves but on our campers. As staff of Cathedral Ridge summer camps, we are also representatives of the Episcopal Church in Colorado, and are working in a ministry that many people believe to be incredibly important in our Diocese. While the job of a camp counselor is not for the weary, it can be a very rewarding and enlightening experience. Fun-filled field trips will be taken each day to enable campers to explore the exciting opportunities available in our community. Each morning will begin with a short educational reading and activity related to the field trip. Lunch will be eaten on the trip and a thematic afternoon snack will be provided. Each location offers campers the opportunity to play and explore. Campers should pack their own lunch. Field trips include: Cleveland Zoo, Great Lakes Science Center, Natural History Museum and Lake Farm Parks. Trips will be arranged according to weather and lunch should be packed in brown paper sacks or plastic bags to allow for easy disposal while on field trips. We?re getting wild at Arastradero Park this summer with a camp that?s full of adventure and fun in the great outdoors. Well be hiking daily, tracking animals, investigating botanicals, and reliving life styles of the past. Post Camp is available (see our Post Camp section). Sorry, no Pre-Camp is available for this camp. Activities are the same each week during the summer. Camp projects change from year to year, but we do repeat many favorite projects. Use the grade your child JUST COMPLETED in the spring as his/her grade for camp registration.
